has anyone ever tryed using suger as their carbs let me now

I have heard of people using this method. But there are other products out there that provide the carbs for your plants. If you wanna keep it cheap and simple you can go with some gradmas molasses it must be unsulphered or you can also go with the unsulph Black Strap as well. You can pick this stuff up at any grocery store. Hope this helps.

For soil, yes molasses will work. In hydro, NO. You will get root damage.Soil has microbes to break down the molasses. Hydro does not and you will see what looks like toilet paper floating in your res. within 24 hours. That would be damaged roots.

I dont know about the molasses for hydro but I have a buddy that uses honey for DWC and he does not have any issues with it. I have used the molasses for soil and coco/perlite and I can vouche for that. Im not too sure about hydro though. Thanks for sharing this DH.

Carbohydrate - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carbohydrate
In general, the monosaccharides and disaccharides, which are smaller (lower molecular weight) carbohydrates, are commonly referred to as sugars--------> YOU SIR ARE RETARDED. (potpimp) Not you get your grow on, you might be on to something...but probably not. Stick to your 0-0-8 beet molasses works fine for veggin'. GL!

Sugar is not a carbohydrate - period.

Simple carbohydrates
Simple carbohydrates are also known as sugars. They also exist in either a natural or refined form.
Natural sugars are found in fruit and vegetables.

C'mon potpimp, you know better man.

What I posted IS correct. Look I could do the research for you, or you could do it yourself and be the better for it. Do some reading sugar is a carb thank you very much

I actually tried this with my first grow and it seemed to work for me, and how can there be any arguement that sugar is a carbohydrate wen it is produced naturally for energy in fruits veggies and humans
