My buddy is killing his girl so i decieded i would try to help!

This is an RX strain....he had it under a 400 w mh about two feet away, he does that bubbleponics stuff in a 5 gallon DWC bucket. its been growing great until friday, when he went up north....on sunday it all just went to hell...His ph tester was wayyyyy off...it was way too high, around 7-8. and he added Verde Humboldt Nutrient to it before he left.

So far its been thru a flush of ph'ed water for about 8 hours but no sign of improvement.

Im gonna continue the flush and put it in with my vegging plants....any good ideas, or is it dead? pllease help thanks!!!IMG00284-20100607-2332.jpgIMG00282-20100607-2313(2).jpg

Ok fair enough. does anyone know why it did this in two days? Can ph screw it up that quick?

Sounds to me like your pH meter is not reliable... Your pH could have been off longer than you think? To answer your question, YES in a DWC grow.

could the power have gone out and the bubbler stopped working? also i sometimes suspect that certain plastic containers can alter ph over time. i had plain tap water (perfect 7.0) in a spray bottle and two day later it was at 8. anyone else experienced this lil phenomenon?

@Immature587 what's the ppm of the perfect 7 tap....if it's not under 10 then yeah, not shocked it went up.

water doesnt retain ph without nutes in it yo....and even then it fluctuates a little. gotta stay on it homie...7 8 waaaay too high for hydro...fry em up in two days easy
