I tried telling people months ago that this was a scam by the government to take over the Medical Marijuana business and tried telling everyone that health canada was only going to give permits to large corporations and Pharmaceutical companies most people laughed at me and said this isn't a conspiracy. So I stopped checking in here I've been looking the last little while and realized I was right, I guess waht I'm trying to say is people should have read the new rules more carefully instead of getting there hopes up. And now for the people that did try to get a license if I was you I'd be paranoid as a mother lol

I am with you about 110% on that with you. I posted a thread what really happened to your lp app . on this site and got the same response. The government did it again.

I was hoping I was wrong.....

When you use basic marketing 101 concepts they just don't work. The numbers just don't add up. The government knows this this is why getting a strait answer is impossible.

When something is ment to work they would have clear and concise answers so the proses would be doable.

How many people have spent thousands to get a number to wait and wait and wait. The whole process should be criminal due to the misleading fraud being implemented on us by HC.

Our only hope is with the MMAR law suit(s). The ruling in ontarios supriem court is being sercumnavigated and we are being harmed as a result. Irradiated shmag is not what the court ordered be avaible to patients- med marj was......

We all need to support the lawsuit now before it's TOO LATE !!!!!!

I wish everyone affected by this the best of luck and may all your meds be the nonirrsdiated kind.

2 out of the 3 MMPR Production Licences granted are not to large corporations or pharmaceutical companies.

I'd say three out of three. I think you and I have a different threshold for "large corporation". PPS/CML seems like medium at best, based on the square footage they list. Also, although they seem to dabble in recombinant Plant Made Pharmaceuticals, they are not selling any yet. They are GMP, but they are not "pharma".

But, yeah, where is Bedrocan, ABcann, etc.?

I classify PP as "large" due to their lobbying strength, both here in Canada and in Michigan. Based strictly on $ and square footage, sure medium would be more accurate.

I am hearing about application movement to - ready to build's and further. Now we wait for the building and growing and in one case I know of, just the growing. Some will take a year to have product for sale. I suspect that some will not even market, or even be able to market their first crop, because of quality issues that are impossible to avoid with new strains in a new building.

How many LP's are there? I'll bet there is a lot more then three. I can say that HC is past the review stage with application number's higher than 40 and could be much higher than that. This is still a very secretive industry and that will not change anytime soon. Not hearing about it is the norm.

Hang in there wannabe's, if you extrapolate the numbers I have, we should have app #100 getting past review stage by the end of March. Did anybody think HC was going to hurry into mass producing marihuana?, or make it easy? They will take there time and deny as many applications as they possibly can, it is their nature.

I equaled out the holidays vs. HC getting better and faster with experience, in my calculation, probably wishful thinking. (disclaimer: not nearly a large enough polling sample available for much accuracy)

No conspiracy, still. Shit takes time, wait and see. Support Conroy first, but remember, hope is what you have left when reality leaves you no where else to turn.

The MMPR will have the very best marihuana, eventually, if you believe that it is the people who grow it that make the difference. Every wannabe that I have corresponded with privately, so far, are all exceptional people. Successful in their current lives but seeing away to make a real positive difference in their communities and for patients. All while making a living, doing what they love, which to me, is the dream. You just don't take these kind of risks($500,000) on the possible money alone, in my opinion.

Though I will say that my marketing 101 skills paint a much different picture than medicineman2014's does, but I take Shawns, "paranoid as a mother" comment very seriously since coming to the realization that HC has not changed their obstructionist ways even for their own MMPR.

I hinted the other day on one of these threads.

Yes they have their license, but are not ready to authorize HC's website until they have "enough quality product". Technically not production growing yet, but only a week or so away. They were an old MMAR that needed a total overhaul. That is all I can say.

I am working with a MMAR about to put in an application for MMPR. I have a fair amount of experience in dealing with government agencies and their approval process. I can't wait until we can open the doors in Sept 2019

I was saying the same thing months ago. But I won't go so far as to say that it's a scam. It's the same MO that the gov always uses. Everybody is welcome to apply for licenses, there is no discrimination there. But the applications have to meet poorly defined specifications that allow the approval committee a HUGE amount of latitude to interpret the specs depending on how they view the applicant. That way they can be super selective about who gets licenses or not. While those who are accepted may not necessarily be huge corps, they will represent big operations. As I have said many time, if you don't have millions for this start up then don't waste your time applying. You will through a lot of hoops and waste a lot of money for nothing.
Meanwhile, the three LPs that have been approved so far have been entities that are already well known. The rest (who have been deemed by Gov to be decent prospects) will have to wait for CSIS background checks for EVERYONE involved in the organization to be done before their applications are even considered. That's something they didn't tell you, but make no mistake, these will have to be done to keep organized crime out of the business and Harper can't afford a fuck up here. And until that check, which will take months because CSIS operates on its own sched, is done you're not likely to hear a word either way.

Congratulations, that is awesome.

Martyg wanted me to ask you, how large your proposed irradiation and milling rooms are?

You give us hope that we might make it before D-day, itsmehigh, thanks for your update.

Well we figured after spraying toxic poisons, to control pests and molds. We would nuke the buds to kill off any remaining terpenes and essential oils, then we will crush, squeeze, bend and break any remaining tricome off when we mill the shit out of the bud. Then package it in plastic bag to further degrade the meds and ship them off by snail mail. All for only $12 a gram plus shipping and handling, of course don't think about returning your high quality meds for a refund.

just kidding. No spraying, no radiation, no milling, just high quality, tested buds delivered to your door for $5 a gram with a money back guarantee.

hang in there koot, it took just over 3 months to get the go ahead to build.

cheers Itsme.
