Harvesting in stages?

Hey all, I have 4 females (northern lights, blueberry mix and power Africa) days away from harvest with 3 of the 4 plants. growing in indoor tent. I have 11 or so large colas ready to go but I’m thinking some of the lower small buds could use more time. Would it be a bad idea to haverst the large stems/cola and leave the smaller alone for a few more days? Is it ok to haverst in stages or indoor?

i have chopped my top 1/3 to 2/3 and then used a aloe vera filet direcly on the sever and after that waited another 2-3 weeks and have seen those buds swell hard but it may have also been me as a newbie grower. as a smoker since 16 and going on now 10+ years later I must say the smoke was amazing and flavorful mainly because of other factors but the bud on the bottoms definately increased my yield and had a different high

Lol you probably cut the top half kinda early like many growers when they are new, and then the bottom half was so good because it had fully rippened :).
