Ok, I cut down my three female peak-19 plants last Sunday and they have been hanging ever since. They are pretty dry but not yet dry enough to crack the stems. I have been told several different things and I was wondering what you guys thought. Should I cut off the fan leaves now and then re hang them? Or, should I let them hang until I can snap the stems? I know what to do after I trim and manicure the buds however I am not exactly sure when to do so. I read the growfaqs but I just want to see how you guys feel about manicuring the buds now? I can provide pics if necessary however i don't know what that would do as they are just hanging in the grow room. Thanks in advance guys!

I trim before i hang my plants. After they are dry enough i put them into glass jars and check them every day for a month. I then put the weed into ziplock baggies to further cure. This method works great for me. You want to wait until the buds feel reasonably dry on the outside and not a wetish sticky feel(resin sticky is ok:D). Then trim off all your buds and put them into curing. Thats what i would do...

Normally one would trim the fan leaves and manicure it before hanging. Personally, I dont like to hang dry them until the stems snap, tends to lead to over drying. dry them just until the buds feel dry but the stems dont snap, Then cure. works for me

try.....

Open air 24 hours
In bag 8 hours
Open air 16 hours
In bag 6 hrs
Open air 12 hrs
In bag 3 hrs
Continue as necessary.

this will avoid mold and speed up the process. everything dries at an even rate from inside to outside.then throw em in a cure jar.
