when you hang your bud to dry does it HAVE to be in the dark?

i wrap mine with newspaper and put them in a closet for a few days but they come out after 3-4 days and stay in the light

so no , they dont HAVE to stay in the dark....

UNLESS THEY ARE DEMOCRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
