Harvest issues 2 ...

I have just cut this stem off the main trunk of the plant as it did look ready to be harvested, have I made an error in judgement. the other pics that I sent were of different plants, and I've left them alone. This I felt was ready.
Please advise.If I have made a mistake, can you please elaborate on what exactly I'm looking for. The trichs to me are amber.

also are you magnifying the trichs? or just looking at them the calyxs hair could have recided a lil more sorry about the spelling

Dittos to what the other smart folks said could have gone a bit longer. Buy the pocket microscope at Radio Shack. Good thing it if you will just stop cutting the buds which are left will start catching more light and give them a chance to tighten up a bit. I have started harvesting in the thirds. Take the top when you think its ready and wait a week and take the middle. Wait another week and take what is left leaving a litle if you want to re veg it by any chance. Gives a nice selection of highs. That third harvest will kick your ass.

All i see is white hairs and white trichs everywhere, plus the hairs havnt receeded, i would have given it another 2-3 weeks

That is what all growers do at one time or another, some do it all the time, its the panic to smoke it or get it out the door. You can harvest a good crop by the time the trichomes turn milky white, its what is referred to as an early harvest. Still smokes ok. The little leaves are standing up straight so thats a plus. You can still let the rest of the plant sit for 4-5 more days though if you want to, until those white hairy hairs mature.
