Harvest, Flush advice

We are in week 9 and 4 days, of a 10 week sativa dominate Hybrid. G13Haze....
Im wondering about the flush using a flushing solution 3 to 4 days before harvest... trying to determin when to start and when to harvest... here is a pic.. Would you say this looks like it would be done in 3 to 5 days or no way? The pistols are not really turning red yet.. some are but only a small percentage.. breeder says 10 wks....

Here is a 400x.. i will be showing a 400x and two 20x .. omg pics everywhere sorry.. First two are 20x i think.. third is 400x.. If you dont think they will be done in 3-4 days please give advice on how long? worried about starting flush too soon they havent really swollen up like they should have yet

Can anyone give me information based on the pictures provided? would be greatful.. everything you need to know is in the pictures already

it would be easier to tell if the pics were smaller or further away ... but the trichs looking good. I would say another week at least maybe

You should definitley flush for more than 3-4 days man, two weeks are ideal. IMO your trichomes look like they could go longer for sure, aweek to two would be my guess.

Even with a flushing solution like clearex? I am using foxfarm.. the solution flushes more quickly then water alone. i agree on the time

I am a flushing nazi, I like my herb as clean as possible so I never go less than two weeks (and I use a flushing solution as well). But I grow in soil, some people get away with a shorter flush in some hydro systems (not sure what your using). My theory is this, you put alot of time, effort, money not to mention risk into growing your own. The miniscule extra growth you would get by skipping or shortening the flush IMO is no where near worth the risk of having done all that work and effort to have herb that tastes like shit and won't burn properly, so I don't fuck around I flush them really thoroughly.

that is true and i hope you get this responce again.. the only problem im having is i cant identify when my plants will be done.. i dont really even have a good guess.... I know it should be in a week acording to the breeder but it doesnt look it... the reason im leary about stoping the nutes is because it didnt really seem to go through the big.. last 2 week swelling that ive read about in my multipul references... Will this occur even with just water and clearing solution or will i miss out??

From your pics the trichs look like they are just starting to go milky so I'm guessing a week or two most till they are ready. Flushing does not starve your plants of nutes, it simply makes them burn up the exess nutes stored up in the tissues of the plant. This is more than enough to facilitate bud swell in the flush period, however I give them a little bit of molasses at the start of the flush, this aids in bud swell, helps flavor and gives them some nutritional value. If you decide to try it IMO you should only do it at the start of flush and do not use cooking molasses (full of suphites) use the backstrap molasses.

The Cola in your pic is much bigger than any max of mine.. 3 G13's started as clone in a 3x3 area they are LST like you wouldnt beleve... Small air cooled 250W HPS sits about 3 inches from everything thats been bent to make a flat canopy of straped down flowers..One 68W CFL and a Joke of a 140W LED light.. its half way between the rip off types and the good real ones.. lol.. ripped off regardless but thats not the point lol only added it because the other CFL of equal size was broken by my cat..... its a work of art if i must say.. hard to tell what belongs to who.. i cant wait to get her ready to be medicine.. they just dont seem big and fat like they should at week 9+. saw a journal that harvested at 8 wk with a 600 watt and it schooled mine in bud size. Ive been expecting this last week to be the time the buds swell and go nutso.. i think im alittle early in my estimate.. im gonna give them nutes tomorrow one more time and then flush flush flush...i use r/o water with clearex.. cleaning solution from now untill 2 days before i chop if i remember correctly.

Where does one get this type of thing without ordering it through the internet? Black strap molassas... refered too alot in my research. Never attempted to buy it though. Thank you much for your help. check back tomorrow ill give you a few shots of the girls they are sleeping... i like to get technical and break out the 400x lol



Can you tell me how its applied.. mixed to water or .. is it like sticky id imagine? and its smeared on the soil? hehe im a molassass noob...

I'd say let them go one more week, then flush for one week, then chop. =)

Try a health food store for the backstrap. I don't use much, about two tbsp for a 5gal pail of water. If your topping your plants and growing them short sea of green style your not going to yield the big fat colas..... big plants + big lights = big fat colas. Practice makes perfect, it took me a few years before I gained the knowledge to make the plants do what I want, and give me the results I want and they still teach me things.
