Harvest Based on Trichrome Color or Bud Color ??

Everything I have read says to cut when about 70-80% of the trichromes are milky white.

I have a White Widow Xtreme auto that is going on week 9. Per literature harvest at 8 weeks.

In the pictures I see for WW there are lots of white hairs (pistels ?). My plants are bright green with no white hairs but under 20X magnification virtually all the trichromes are milky. A few clear and no dark amber.

Likewise I am growing a sativa (Purple Power auto fem) from Amsterdam seeds. In this plant as well I'd say bout 60-70% of trichromes are milky but I have yet to see the color in the buds as shown on the AMS web page. Just bright green. No orange, red, purple.

I am afraid if I wait too long I'll be past optimal harvest but again no bright colors in buds.

What should be my guide bud color or trichrome color as I have read about?

Thanks

I like all milky trichs. amber is degradation of trichome contents, amber makes me sleepy
if you harvest now you will be fine
