Hardwater?

So I have changed locations and for some reason ph’ing my water is nuts.
Before, I would have to put maybe 2-5 drops of ph down to lower. And when I lowered, it dropped ALOT.
NOW that I have a new location, I have to put a FUCK ton of ph down to barely move it.
I just ordered a RO system and it’ll be here tomorrow.
Does the sound like its... hard water?

I live in Norman, OK.
I pulled the report, but not sure what I need to look for. It said the water hardness is 150

Sorry if this is a dumb question

Hard water takes more to ph down and it takes more nutrients to grow in
The R/O water can be ph'd with only a couple drops, generally
Sounds like you are on the right track
I assume you are in hydro, because in soil mediums you don't need R/O?

Well... right now I’m in soil, but doing a few coco to get the hang of it.
Does it really not matter if you’re in soil?

Yeah it's more than likely the water quality in your new location. Tap water typically works just fine for soil, but there are cases where extremely hard water throws things out of whack. I'd get an EC/PPM meter and make sure it isn't ridiculously high in ppms, but otherwise you should be fine to use it in soil. :)

Here is the report
That waters pretty good as far as hardness goes 150 ppm total hardness isn’t bad. Your alkalinity will cause the water to resist you lowering the ph. Your r.o. System will work well with your water quality being as it’s already relatively soft. Your plant is a lime softening water plant. Your ph adjustments will be a lot easier to accomplish once you get your system set up.

Yeah, I locked all my plants out last year with hard water. Could not recover. Got 1/4 my normal harvest... good luck!

The setup is for like under a sink. I was wanting to get it to come out of a facet so I could attach a hose or something to it to make watering a bit easier

Pretty similar to the one I have. Their flow rate is actually pretty slow your looking at about 3 gallons per hour. I installed mine on one of those plastic Home Depot shelves put the tank under it the unit mounted to it. I use 5 gallon pails and just fill em. I bought a 30 gallon plastic rv water tank that I fill mix my nutes in and gravity water the plants via a hose. Because ro removes so much a residential unit is going to have a slow flow rate but you’ll be glad once you install it. I just used a shark bite fitting SharkBite 24983A Service Tee Stop Valve, 1/2 inch x 1/2 inch x 1/4 inch, Quarter Turn, Compression Service Stop Fitting, Water Valve Shut Off, Push-to-Connect, PEX, Copper, CPVC, PE-RT https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016M169KU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_2tmTCbXYTRZB9 like this one makes installation a breeze. Good luck with your install

3 per hour?! I need to find something better. Which one do you have?

Some of you really have soft water, here my "crappy" water from the tap is 650ppm, damn hard...
Wow.... that’s insane.
Previously, my ppms came out at like 80-90.
Now they come out 150 at the new place.
I went from using a few DROPS to like 5ml to adjust the same amount of water (1gal).
Does that sound right?

Mine produces the same the thing with an ro system is it wastes out quite a bit of the water to reject the hardness and contaminants so you end up with little finished product. APEC is what I have and it puts out less than yours will it works good for me and I run about a dozen plants in soil at a time just gotta get some buckets for storage how many plants are you watering, are you in soil?
