Hard Water???

Hey all

Am currently using GenHydro FloraSeries full line up of nutes...need a new bottle of the Micro and notice they have a Hardwater version....do I have hard water???? straight from tap Ph of 7.6-8.0.......PPM of 200-230:joint::hump:

That's pretty hard water. I'd give the hardwater micro a try.:weed:
 
Cool....I think I remember hearing 180ppm or more is hard...I'm curious to see if I notice a difference in the way the plants uptake nutes with the hardwater Micro.

Yours isn't horrible and you might be able to make it work with regular micro. The only real difference is it is lower in calcium and magnesium, maybe iron. That's the only problem with using tap water. You don't really know exactly what's in it unless you have it tested regularly. The concentrations of dissolved solids changes depending on where you live and the time of year, etc. :joint:

Thanks for the input....just bought the hardwater Micro...We'll see how it works....I've always experienced slight yellowing around half way through flower...a little early....So are you saying a hard water is lacking the Cal. and Mag.? I wonder if using the hardwater version of the Micro adds a little extra of the minerals that is lacking in the water.....I'm sure thats the reason for the two versions.
