hard duct dropped my temps

So I have a grow fridge I made in my basement the I vent outside with flexible duct.
I'm growing ak47 and it is super stinky. My house would smell during flowering and my wife was freaking out so I had to try and fix this problem. I work in construction and my buddy is a tin knocker aka: duct guy.
He told me that the flexable duct sucks and is only good fior dryer venting so he gave me some hard ducts and told me to try it. So I made the switch and WOW what a difference. My exhaust is much better now and I have much better back pressure which has eliminated my odor prob and my temps have gone from 79f to a nice and steady 76f with lights on.

Just thought I would share this for anyone who vents outside with duct.

as convienent as flexible duct is, it REALLY constricts airflow.
i highly recommend solid Elbow (90's) duct, instead of just bending flexi duct, it is also SURPRISINGLY quieter. less air "Whooooooshing" noise.

Hard pipe is def the way to go, as much as you can use! When I have the room, I use hard pipe as a manifold too, that keep any flex you have to use in a straighter line for better efficiency. I found some insulation jackets to put over my flex as well. Once i have it rigged, I'll post a pic.
All the Best!
