Happy Ground Hog Day !

I know about the shadow seeing predictions.
Doesn't make any difference where I live. There will always be much more winter coming.

What does it mean when my dogs bring home a dead ground hog on ground hog day?

It was snowing like crazy, I let them out to do their thing and they came back 20 minutes later triumphantly displaying a dead ground hog.

Just hoping for no killing frosts or snows in may, after my girls go out to play

That is one less to eat away at my gardens.

It is VERY unusual to see one out and about at this time of year and in this weather

I'd worry about neuro illness, like rabies or Mad Hog. I hope your dogs didn't pick anything up. Might want to talk to a vet soon.

really, i hope it wasn't rabid and those dogs have it's shots..

They are good to go on vacs. That is very important living rural as i do.

Perhaps warm temps brought the ground hog out.

It was in the low 30's F after a few weeks of much colder weather.

This GH looks healthy and clean.

I'm making dog treats out of his flesh
