Happy Bird Seeds - Volcano Girl

Once u see that many nanners and the place they were located u gotta assume your whole tent has been compromised. Check your other plants.
I just got some on an auto i refused to part with. She only had 3 total bunches located on the bottom branches. It was a true hermie which means the nanners weren't mixed in with buds. It had it own sites with male parts. I plucked them during preflower so I had a heads up to look out for sacs.
I placed her in a vegging tent cus I really wanted to finish her out. She's doing well with no more signs of herming.
I just harvested a plant that was directly next to hermie and it had 2 beans. The rest of the plants in the tent were in early bloom so I got my eyes on em. Seeds burst but nanners just let it drop out then fan spreads it.
Your girl was definitely stressed into herming. Some poor genetics do herm easy. If u can keep her away from the rest it'd be best.
So far, knock on wood, there have been no signs of any issues with the other 2 plants. I can find no beans starting or anything. Hopefully it stays that way.

Are u 39 days from 12/12 flip? I don't start my count til I see bud sites. Usually 5 to 9 days later strain dependent.
Since u got atleast 3 weeks left I'd green her back up with Epsom salt. Might burn tips a bit but worth it. When did u stop using veg nutes? Plants blooming still need the Nitrogen but in less amounts or u will get a bad leaf to bud ratio.

The number of days is from the flip to 12/12. I am not using the calendar to determine harvest. I am using the numbers for future reference so I have hard numbers to know when certain changes were made. I am hoping that after a few grows, I start to get my record keeping dialed in a little better than the chicken scratch I have done for this grow. I assume as that falls I to line, it will become easier to get the environment dialed in as well.

Edited to add: going back through the journal, it appears that day 5 after the flip there were flowers starting to appear. Day 10 after flip, she was covered in flowers. I didn't really ever use grow nutes. She is in a mixture of FFHF and FFOF and that was her feed up until the start of week 3 after flip. Last night I gave her 3 quarts of 1.5EC feed until runoff. Tonight I will water in a little Epsom salt and see how she reacts. The bloom food is 1-4-5 so there is some N, just not a lot.

Wow. Why did u wait so long to feed her? Was the ffof that hot? When was she transplanted to her forever pot? That counts as her last feed. Thats why I don't like using ffof by itself. Its so unpredictable. Mine is so hot I figured I try using it as a top dressing for next grow. Atleast on one plant as a tester. The original ffof recipe gave u 3-4 weeks. The new one can last a couple months. I had to flush mine several times so I could add nutes I wanted without burning plant. U should've added bloom nutes a few weeks back. Your yellowing was do to hunger then. Maybe lack of Nitrogen also but who knows since ffof is premixed.

I believe It went from a 1 gallon up to a 3 gallon a week or two before I flipped to 12/12. Then I think I did half and half grow and bloom nutes week 3 and then just bloom nutes after that. I'd have to go back and reread my posts to verify those dates, but I think they are close.

Yeah with ffof I transplant from solo to final pot and veg for about a month to let ffof get used up so I can add the rt nutes needed before flipping to 12/12. Ffof is great for veg but not gd for bloom imo. U want control of medium and to know what u got in there. Were u measuring runoff ppm? The readings are all over the place so I don't really care what it says but if the reading is low that says alot. Mine used to go high as 7000ppm. Doesn't matter. But when its low time to add nutes.
But a gd trick is instead of flushing is just add h202 which is hydrogen peroxide. Way better then flooding your plant. Wish I knew then.

Nope. Didn't measure runoff at all. The 2 other plants that are in it are green as can be. Maybe this one was a super heavy feeder and is just devouring anything I throw at it? Not sure as I can find no grow journals or anything about this particular strain. I'm not too worried about it. I'll learn as I go and make some adjustments next time around.

I use a software program called Budlabs from Advanced Nutrients to keep notes and make plans for the upcoming week in. It will give you notices like a calendar if you put them in ahead of time which helps with my bad memory. It's nice to be able to go back and check when I did certain things to which plants. Running different strains and different feeds gets complicated at times and this helps. It has a bunch of Advanced Nutrients stuff on the App but you don't have to use it, it's just there for helping new growers figure out nutes. It's on Google Play if you want to check it out.

Day 42

Went ahead and watered her with a quart of water with 1/4 tsp of Epsom salt. Let's see if it does anything. If there are changes, how long would it take to see results?

And somebody forgot to give the slow roller in the back the memo about the stretch ending a couple weeks ago. Haha. She was a real late bloomer.

U can see things get a lil greener in about 3 days. Was a quart a full watering? It gotta hit all the roots.

Got one of those too. It messed my tent up. I had em crammed in already then it wanted stretch 3x its size. I was only expecting it to maybe double. Now it looks like a jungle on there. Don't have the heart to part with any since they all different and new strains.

I usually shoot for about 3 quarts to runoff, but I had fed the night before. So, I mixed up a quart to just get a little somethin in there.

Usually u want to wait til its next watering so u can make sure to get it gd and hit all areas of the pot.

Day 44

Did some rearranging tonight. Pulled everything out of the tent, re-configured some fans, pulled the Linkind LED's, hung the @Spiderfarmerled G300W that I won on here, placed the driver for that outside the tent, cleaned up some rough looking leaves, and put boxes under the 2 shorter plants to get the tops of the canopy even since there is just one LED fixture now. I also mixed up some Epsom Salt with the water and each plant got 1/2 gallon of water with 1/2tsp of Epsom salt. While I had the plants out, I inspected them, and there doesn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary going on and other than the discoloration on the Volcano Girl, everything looks good and healthy.

I was definitely lucky that week. I'm still in the process of moving and organizing stuff so I can move the 3x3 tent and put up the 4x4 so I can hang the phlizon light that I won. After this round of 3 plants finish, I will be doing logs for both LED's.

As far as keeping the plant, there wasn't a chance I was gonna bin it, but I am glad that it has carried on as well as it has. I can only imagine what she is capable of if I didn't starve her for that little bit. I have a bunch of the Happy Bird Seeds and there are some really interesting ones that I can't wait to try out.

Ditto! U can't go wrong $3 a bean. U can try multiple strains and crosses. Alot of times he uses popular genetics in the breeding.
Yo girl is looking frosty.
My 2 i started are so buried in the tent u can barely see em. I will post once I defoliate but they looking healthy. They on week 1 flower. I let tent get a lil out of control. Had alot going on and let em veg to long. Then the stretch was crazy hope it stops soon.

Day 46

Moving day!!!! Moved the 3x3 tent from the bathroom to the bedroom to make room for the new 4x4 tent. I also switched the light schedule so the lights aren't on all night in my room making it too hot to sleep in. I also put the driver back in the tent and put a 6" hurricane fan blowing directly on it to try to keep temps down. The @Spiderfarmerled light is running at about 85% or so.

I made an Aloe juice this evening to try out. I watered each plant with about 2 cups of water, let it sit for 20 minutes, then watered with the aloe juice. Split about half a gallon between the 3 plants. Then I fed each plant with a quart of 1.6EC Bloom nutes.

Also: I do believe the Epsom salts earlier this week have helped bring a little green back to some of the leaves, but im not 100% sure on that.

Day 48

Went ahead and watered her this morning before lights on. She took about 3 quarts with no nutes. There was minimal runoff. She is drinking considerably faster than the other 2 girls in the tent. Still keeping an eye out for nanners. I have picked off several since the first time noticing them but nothing huge.

Probably a stupid question, but even though I'm coming up on the end of week 7 from the flip, could I take a small clipping for a clone and reveg it? Or would I be better off finishing her out, harvesting, and then trying to reveg what's left?

I've never tried to clone a plant that far into flower personally so I can't say how hard it would be. I would think re vegging at this stage would be the easiest due to how you can keep all your current root mass and a good bit of branch structure if you choose. Neither is an easy or quick option though which is what started me taking clones of everything I put into flower. You just don't know if you'll get something worth keeping until it's too late otherwise.

Yeah, live and learn. I have several seeds of it so I just figured I could grow it again. I also didn't plan on keeping mom's. But here I am with 3 tents now due to some incredible luck and I really want to try this plant again with a little more knowledge. Of course, if the smoke sucks, then I can always bin it. Maybe I will try to take a little clone now and also try to reveg the original and see what works best.
