hang for 3 weeks?

i have to go home for the semester and i am cutting my plant down tonight. i only have 2 days b4 i make the drive home and i dont know if the buds will be dry enough to put in the jars. should i just let the plant hang upside down for the time that im gone(about 3 weeks)? this is my first grow so im not sure what to do. any advice on harvesting/curing would be appreciated. thanks for reading :joint:
 
i dont think u should let your buds hang to dry for 3 weeks .. They would be hella dry by the time u come back after 3 weeks ...if u was to break that up u would prolly have dust weed but who knows .. maybe someone else can help u out but i wouldnt do it...
 
paper bag it loosely. if you have to rehydrate a little when you get back, do it in jars with celery or something.
 
well i was thinking if you paper bagged it, mold might be a problem? what's the max time for drying anyway?
 
it's better to let them get really dry then moldy. You can always remoisten the buds and cure it once you get back.
 
It takes me 5 to 7 days, it depends on the density of the nugs, the temp, and how dry you let them get before the chop.
 
Hmm, yeah I hope you just left the shit hanging. They'll be really dry but its true, better then moldy. Hey I've left a whole plant out in full light cut, upside down for 1 month to see what happens, and yes it got bone dry, but shit, was she potent. White shark. like this ----> :shock:
 
Yeah it depends where you live... If you live in the desert, you can dry in a couple days and any more than that will be disastrous.... I live in Hawaii and I have to run a couple fans for a about 3-4 days before I put it in a vacuum jar...

i left half of it hanging...brought the other half home with me. thanks for the help guys ill let u know how the buds are when i get back in a few weeks :weed:
