Is it ok to hang dry new plants you harvested inside the grow tent with other plants in there under 12/12? The temperature fluctuates from around 73 to 83.

NO! Dark & cool is the way to go. Heat & light destroy THC

Any tips on how to control the smell? That's the reason I want to because of the carbon filter...

There are farious plans on this site for drying boxes. Something like a say a medium size moving box. Cut in a small hole for a CPU fan to move air & for smell I would rig a ladies nylon filled with charcoal over the fan to filter the air. Leave there until ready to jar & bob's your uncle.
There are lots of ways to deal with the smell. Use the advance search feature on there just make sure you change it to just search the titles of the threads not the body or you will get 10 times the amount of post then you need
