Half leaf problems? bugs or??

Hello people,

First time grow, new member.

8x8x8 room with 4 600w MH and ebb/flow system. Filtered water, 1.5 ec, 6.3pH.

Multiple plants have half of a leaf missing, occuring in the first set of leaves. At first, I thought my partner was taking scissors and cutting the leaf in half, thats how perfectly straight the tips of the leaves are. Is this some sort of deficiency, virus, or a pest?

sometimes they just grow like that, esp the younger ones. had a few do this on me. idt its bugs as they wouldnt be so clean cut. could be genetics or a tad of stress, but i dont think you have anything to worry about. These are how mine started, and the finished product. reg leaves started around 3-4 nodes

Sounds like a genetic hic-cup. They will most likely grow out of it.

Budmizer when someone gives u good info hit there star it give them reputaion point your wont count yet but they will if you stick around lots of good info here welcome.

they were seeds. i was a bit concerned like you, but it all worked out. they were lowlife auto aks. as long as u keep em green there will be no problem

oh cool. thanks for the info dam. these came from Presidential OG clones and are currently about 2 1/2ft tall. So far, they are a nice green and pretty resilent. Had an algae problem for a couple weeks, but it went away when I lowered the pH to about 6.2 from 6.7.
