I accidentally bent my branch down too far during some light lst and snapped it. It’s not completely separated so the leaves aren’t dead buuuut they aren’t exactly super alive lol would it be best to top it off as to not have my plant exert energy towards the situation or leave it and see what happens ? I believe I’m in week 8. My guys sprouted around 2/1. Thank you for any help in advance!IMG_9155.png

Your plant looks real nice, and we’ve all broken branches with “aggressive LST”. You could do either of those. There’s a third option, you could carefully put it back together and splint/tape it. I’d either do that or just let it be and see what happens, quite often they repair themselves, and if it doesn’t make it, and you have to cut it, we’ll, you tried!

Wrap it around the broken area of the branch with tape, and maybe cover it loosely with a small plastic bag to keep the humidity up for the night. Hope for the best. You appear to only be a few weeks at most into flower though, if even at all.

I always keep a roll of metal HVAC tape handy when training. It's my preferred kind of tape for fixing those accidents, and acts more like a rigid cast that adds way more strength compared to other kinds of tape. For really big branches, I'll sometimes add an extra splint, usually whatever I see laying around at the time to re-enforce with, if needed.

Thank you guys, I appreciate the help. I’ve had it wrapped up since right after I did it , just doesn’t seem to be helping or hurting I guess time will tell! This is only my second grow so I’ve been super paranoid to get everything right which I know is impossible lol IMG_9156.jpeg

If it’s not getting crispy, it’ll probably survive.

I accidentally broke my whole plant while doing LST on it. Split right down the middle to the soil.

I snipped off the best looking branches and ended up with 3.

I stuck the ends into rooting powder and then into the soil.

One didn't make it. The second is a runt, But the third is doing great.

I think I waited too long to do the LST on the branches and they got too hard.

I’m embarrassed at how many times I’ve splinted a branch with a piece of bamboo and medical tape, but happy at how well it works

I recently got careless reaching past a plant to tend another and after backing out, saw a branch upside down. It was hanging by just a few fibers. At least a foot long and break was in the crotch of a previous topping. Really no good way to splint or tape it so I put it back where it should be and tie wired it laterally to its sister branch. It never drooped or sagged whatsoever. Like nothing ever happened. These plants are tough. Also had my first mainline plant split itself right in two at the first top site. This happened from not releasing tension on tie-down wires and between the vertical growth and excessively tight wires something had to give. Didn't even notice until defoliating. Not sure how long it had been like this. Again, she kept chugging right along as if nothing happened. I've had a few that didn't work out so well though also.
