50% @ 15ml into all my 100L F&D res approximately every 3 days. Would never be without it in a sterile hydro setup.

So dilute this 29% by half.

Then mix 15 ml of this per 100gal?

Every 3 days
No, my H2O2 is 50%. Your 29% is fine, just use a little more. And my res is in Litres not Gallons.

For example, you could use 25ml per 25 gallons, every 3 days in your res to get same result.

Great. Thanks man.

Riddle me this....
Is your resevoir light tight?
Do you get algae or brown, clear slime ever?
Whats your water temp, air temp?

Id like to see how far off i am .............

I have one res pretty dark out of 3.
I get some slimes if i dont airate or if the temps stay over 26c/73f in the res for a few days.
I keep my air temps around 73f/23c

Ive gone through thr gauntlet of root rot, javex, pool shock, benneficial bacteria like hydroguard and hygrozyme and cannazyme. Now im here.

Thanks @klx

Is your resevoir light tight?

No, they are uncovered totes that sit underneath the flood tray.

Do you get algae or brown, clear slime ever? No, never.

Whats your water temp, air temp? Honestly, I never measure my water temps because if you use H2O2 it is not a concern. My air temps in the room range from approx 20C in winter lights out to about 30C in summer lights on.

If you use H2O2 religiously, every 3 days you will never have pathogens in the res. If you ever see any snot or slime, increase your H2O2 by 5ml until you no longer see it. When they sell H2O2 at 29%, it could actually be 25% or 35% for example. So there is some small room for error.

Keep in mind, if you do go H2O2 route, you cannot use any organic additives. No zymes or bennies etc. You need to be sterile.

I pay $30 Australian for a 4 Litres (approx 1 gallon). Look for chemical or cleaning product wholesalers. Thats where I get mine, less than half price of the Hydro shop.

Is it food grade
H2O2 is H2O2. There are no other additives if thats what you mean. I dunno why anyone would want to eat it, its corrosive as fuck. Burns the shit out of your skin if it gets on you but it breaks down in the res into oxygen so its beneficial to my res and to my plants which is all I care about.

I will take a look at the bottle next time I am in there and see if it says anything about food grade but I dont really understand what that means...sounds like marketing hype to charge more for it if you ask me.

I use the 29% food grade and usually get a 4L jug for around $50Can. Used to be able to get 35% for the same price.

I always used it at 0.5ml/L or 2mlUSG twice a week for maintenance then 4x as strong if any hint of root problems. If real root rot starting then 2.5ml/L or 10ml/gal daily for about a week or until problem solved. Have only had root rot start twice out of about 50 tubs and both times the clones were started in real dirt instead of soilless media.

I made a DIY chiller out of a water cooler and never had to use peroxide at all after that. Keeping the temps below 70F seems to do the trick.

The 3% stuff from the drug store does have preservatives but I'd use that if there was no other choice. It's been used by many with no ill effects.

Good luck!

:peace:
