I've heard about that but ever saw it that is sick, I don't understand why they have living quarters underneath it all as well, isn't that the point of a house

That's where all the workers slept I guess, kind of like maid quarters... It would look funny to have a house inhabited by a bunch of grown men. Awesome set-up though!
