Guns n Growing

So many of us in the community do own guns and love shooting. Im talking responsibly shooting, owning, handling and many others but legally we are not allowed to have them. Now my question is ehat would you do if you got robbed or something and your legal registered firearm was stolen and police come to look. You grow they find out now guns & growing charges mixed unless legal mmj patient but still not allowed to have a gun(federally I believe).
Im also adding in the reason of having a gun for home defense/protection. And growing doesnt make many get a gun for home defense many have them prior to starting their hobby and have been shooting longer then they probably have been smoking.
Input?

I have plenty of guns in my house. My machete by the bed and my morning star by the door are more likely my weapons of choice if my house did get invaded though. Safes and all.

As to your question, If someone had enough effort to break into my safe, they can have my guns. If I'm home while they try, good luck to them. As far as I know,as long as your firearms aren't just laying out on the front porch you're not getting charged with anything. Also, in your hypothetical situation, why would you not just ditch the grow? You'll have at least a few days after that to do it.

Ever shoot trap/skeet danny? Now that is challenging fun.

sticky situation. In my state there are many loopholes.Loopholes are messy if you are too broke for a lawyer.Guns are one reason many don't get there med card.Long guns are worse then pistols in some places also.I can buy a pistol, shot gun or rifle at the grocery store here.
Guns are worthless if you don't have a gas mask.Around here the rippers tear gas you as they raid

I have quite a collection of paper punching utensils. I keep them in a locked gun safe at my parents farm, NOT where I live/grow.

Wow, never thought of this. I am glad that I have a safe though, and the only gun outside the safe is going to be the one to put a hole in you. That would be a whole new problem. Hopefully me nor anyone here has to ever pull the trigger on someone, I believe it would give psychological damage honestly, but if it were to come to that, you would have a dead guy, and plants... not good.

- Eazy question I would never grow anything illegal

on my property or anywear close

Untill I joined this site I never knew the 'ripper' problems were so bad

To all those that have the ability to defend themselves , , I highly recomend firearm training both safty and tactical and even legal. Those that wish to do you harm are ruthless and will nearly always have the advantage of suprise . Dont do them any favors by becoming complacent , practice reguraly keep up muscle memory
Hope for the best but prepare for the worst

By the way gunsafes are great, but their 'putting all your eggs in one basket'

The law and local newspaper love to report grows and guns.

Most of us who sport both aren't criminals and have kept their grows from 'rippers'.

Overall, not a good idea.

Buy an hour of time of a GOOD criminal defense attorney that specializes in this and run the scenario's thru him. Depending on what he says, remember:

Would you rather be judged by twelve or carried by six?

You will lose all guns found on site of the police ever get involved, and you'll be lucky if they don't charge you.
I now a former riu member that had his 99 plant outdoor grow in Cali raided. His partner was on site when it happened. 3 years & $40,000 in lawyer fees later & the only charge that stuck, was a weapons charge for the shotgun they had in the trailer.
Guns & Grows don't mix......

Your looking at it the wrong way because your not a piece of shit that breaks into others peoples houses , the real question is how much value do you place on engaging people who will at best terrorize your family before they get a chance to cross the threshold of your home , i look at it like this , if anybody is brazen enough to enter a strangers home to steal then things like kidnapping , terrorizing , rape , physical violence ect are well within their capability , not to mention murdering the whole family , in alot of states felony home invasion will get you 20 yrs so the pieces of shit just kill everybody as to not leave a wittness .

Gun laws in most states are not set up with the normal citizens best interests in mind , with that said me personally im allways packing , weather it be the grocery store or other public places it's allways with me , at home i keep a loaded pistol next to my easy chair & it follows me thru the home at bed time , i also keep a loaded 12 gauge in the bedroom closet & two 9mm rifle's in the gun safe along with a few other choppers ,home is where we all go to be safe & relax so in my mind if somebody is willing to destroy my family's sense of safety in their own homt the very instant they show a weapon ( even in the yard ) or cross the threshold of our safe place i'm planting them where they stand , if the cop's want to prosecute me than thats a bridge i'll have to cross but my & my family's saftey is paramount to any law threatening jail time , i dont grow where i live but if i did i'd still be armed & when i do visit the bldg where the grow is im armed there as well & ive allready done prison time twice , jail is better than dead .
