Guerrilla grow in trash bags?

Would it be possible to grow in big thick black garbage bags? My plan is to fill them up with soil, tie the top in a knot and then open up a small hole at the top to transplant the plant into. I'll lean them against a fallen tree so they don't fall over during storms.

Good idea, bad idea?
 
How are you going to water and feed the plants?

You'll need holes for drainage, and moving the bags at alll will damage the roots.
 
I can water and feed through the top hole, where the plant stalk comes out. And yeah, I'll stab some holes in the bottom for drainage. I don't plan to move the bags and I've heard of people moving growbags without an issue anyway.

Hmm.. bags getting too hot. Perhaps I could just go with a lighter colour bag, like a light green.
 
agreed ihave seen people rip the top of the bag the dirt comes in ans put a plant in it....WAAAMMM PRE FILLED!! 40 GALLON GROWBAG..HEHEHE
 
black bags burn roots. and plastic dont let air flow. your roots need air. i us weed barrier. cut a 4 foot piece fold it over and staple it together making a breathable bag double it up if you need to.

any way he grows in plastic bags, some are burried in the ground though but i believe some wernt, hes pretty succesful outdoor grower whos been growing for some time, and seems to be a good way for him to keep from having to water constantly.
 
I know it's a lot of work, but digging huge holes and filling them with something like promix or sunshine mix is the way to go if you are doing a guerrilla grow. Keeps things stealthy and is a tried and true way of growing monster plants. I've seen 5 gallon buckets work. I've used them myself, but the plants stay smaller and come mid August you might have to water them every other day.

I started using mulch last year and it has helped tremendously with water retention.
 
You've seen those big bags of MYCORRHIZAE soil mix? It's 60 pounds of it compressed soil mix with no added nutrients just the mycorrhizae fungis ...I've seen big plants, fuk dat, trees growing right out of those. They put the plant right in it...no fluffing it up in smaller pots, just boom, in the bag.

Yeah nobody would notice that hanging out or anything.
