GM. I live in coastal NC inland about 2 miles and just south of Cape Hatteras. NO CHOICE except guerrilla, old school only. Did one grow in backyard last year and was so scary. Neighbors unreal close. I am going urban guerrilla. I have quality spots chosen. So, other than that, any advice? I have planned and planned and well planned. I have my schedule worked out for germ, site prep, transplant, etc. Tools and everything ready. I have 3 photos and 2 autos for a quick in and out. My closet is empty.

Thanks

OBX rocks!

The urban guerrilla part sounds sketchy af. I cant think of any woods in the entire eastern part of my state that doesn’t get trampled by people of all activities on the regular

You would be surprised, no trails just open coastal plain with good dirt and a few shark teeth now and then. The areas are on the edge of the city/county, not within.

Coastal swamps and plains sounds like quack quack quack boom too me. Amongst a shit ton of other activities Be careful. Are you the only one that knows about shark teeth or enjoying the wide open plain. Id game cam my spot for a while first. Funny how you always feel alone when hanging them….

My uncle would tie his plants down to the ground as it they grew, the stems would grow up a foot of so and then he would top them. The plants were grown in a field of weeds so he kept the plants lower then the overall height of the weeds. The field belonged to him so he was not worried of people roaming around.

I specialized in urban guerilla . Small plots of undeveloped land surrounded by retail establishments , empty plots in business and industrial parks , stuff like that .

Ingress and egress was the main problem to plan for . Stealth was of utmost importance . These areas were mostly places that couldn't be built on due to terrain or wetlands . The opportunities abound if one uses their head .

I always had a partner though as most spots required drop off and pick up . We played secret agent man . More often than not we could hear people talking while tending our plants .

It's not for everyone though . Takes balls and planning . These days I lack the balls... :D

So, here are some aerial shots of my areas and a few road views to show what I meant by urban guerrilla. None of these areas is public land that people use as trails. Area is mainly hurricane runoff infrastructure.

Nothing is perfect but been here 27 years. Areas are very difficult to access and not a fun kind of place. Never seen anyone even close to the areas I like. I am doing it like this so that I can walk or bike to my areas, it ended out quick and inconspicuously. I have no desire to drive any distance away from where I live and have to bring something back for more than a five minute drive. All these areas are about a one to two minute drive from the edge of them to my house. Once again it’s very inaccessible and used mainly for hurricane runoff and not a place anyone ever goes.
