Guerilla growing and flowering. Top dressing with powdered nutes??

Hey guys, im in south eastern Ky and it has been raining so much this
year it is unbelieveable. The ground has been saturated the entire summer,
no dry spell whatsoever. We have been getting rain about once to twice a
week, sometimes more. My question is, I dont have a water source near any
of my plots, so I can't mix my nutes with water. I could but unfortunately I dont
have that kind of time. I work alot and I have a few plots, anywhere from
10-30 plants per plot. I invested in some jacks classic bloom and for late
flowering I got some Hawaiin bud and bloom 5-50-17. All throughout veg
I just top dressed the girls with miracle grow water soluble fertilizer before
a forecasted rain and let the rain water it in. Once they started flowering I
began doing the same with the jacks classic bloom.

The soil is ammened with promix, oscomote 14-14-14 controlled release
nutes, mushroom compost, vegetable compost, water polymer crystals,
dolomite lime, worm castings and a few handfulls of epsoma vegetable
fertilizer. My question is, instead of top dressing the soil before rain with the
water souble nutes, couldn't i just mix the recommened dosage in a 20 oz
bottle of water and then pour around the base of plants since the soil is so
saturated? It doesnt seem to be much different than sprinkling it around the
base before rain. There isnt much more rain in the forecast as I can see for
the next week. It seems like what I suggested with the water bottles would
get to the roots better than just sprinkling the nutes. Its much easier carrying
a bag full of 30 or 40 bottles to the girls than 30 or 40 gallon jugs twice a
week lol.

Alot of commercial growers and old timers that grow too many to carry
water to use the water soluble sprinkle method before a rain. Thats what
gave me this idea. But they all use the water soluble 20-20-20 from the local
farm stores. Me, I want better buds, higher potency thats why I spend a bit
more cash on better nutes. Thanks.

Yea you can but the rain when it comes is still gonna do the job better. Honestly if your doing that you might as well just brew a tea for them.

I think adding your top dressing of powdered nutrients would be easier taken up by the plant if you do this water bottle shake method you're describing. Not only will pre-mixing with water help start to break down the powdered nutes but will ensure that each plant sight is visibly getting your feed. if you top dressed as you would a container but relied on the rain to water it in right where you want it, you might find uneven uptake of nutrients throughout your plots. Not even touching on whether the nutrients you're top dressing will be readily avail or if they are considered slow release. Otherwise you're on the right track already, this is just an atta boy! any chance on some pictures?

I'm talking about water soluble nutrients that are labled to mix one tablespoon per
gallon of water. But instead, just mixing a half or whole tablespoon to a 20oz bottle of
water to get it into the ground better. Sometimes sprinkling it around the base of the
plants before a rain does well, but sometimes it seems like maybe it gets washed away.
But since the ground is so saturated and I wont have to worry about watering for the rest
of the year, I was thinking of just fertilizing them with the water bottle method to keep me
from having to carry tons of gallon jugs, I cant do that. Even gonna mix some mollases in
with it and give it a try. Im thinking it would work, or, does anyone suggest or know why it
wouldn't work?

Another question I have, is almost all my clones were from a revegged mother that has small
calyxes at every branch to the main stem, of course over the hot summer months they have turned
brown. Should I clip these off to prevent mold? Or do you think it would actually pose a threat? Just
wondering. Thanks alot guys!
