I put them into flower one months ago after 2 months in veg. Of course the are now over 5' tall

It all depends on how big you want to grow your plants.
Some flower from seed with no veg period.
It's entirely up to you and your space and time restrictions.

I wait until plant is at least 18 inches and max 26 inches, I normaly yeild between 5-8 oz per plant.

from seed. i did 1 month seedling(all seeds take about a month to get out of the seedling stage), 1 month veg, and 2-3 months flower. they stand 6 feet tall

The ones on upper left have zero veg time. It's a 12/12 grow from seed.
The one one the right is a clone cut last Oct. and veg untill last week when it went into flower.

chop that lower dead growth to help the floral hormones go to the top branches. your gonna get shitty popcorn nugs down below that could be growin at the top. you might have root rot or something. check the problem guide to make sure you dont have any problems besides lack of light going on down there. that is one bushy mf
Long vegging is so over rated...... 8th node, cut the lights, and you will most of the time wind up with anywhere from a 2 to 4 foot finished plant depending on strain.

take string to pull it apart so the light can get in the middle and tie them down to help with the stretching!!

Have you ever finished one with 12/12 from seed? I have always suspected this could work well.....I want to see how they turn out, they are definitely looking promising at the moment.

I've finished both kinds of grows
And I'm not trimming any, MrsRocket likes that close to stalk in the shade stuff. It' not very harsh to smoke.
