if a plant is 2' tall when you start flowering how tall will it get?

in theory, 4 to 5 feet.

my last grow attempt...ended up hermie...started 12/12 at 18" and it ended up growing over 3ft

i dont want to overgrow my room which has a max 5' plant height.

The growth or stretch after switching to 12/12 will continue for about a third of the entire length of the flowering cycle.

So if your strain completes flowering in 8 weeks, you'll have at least 2 1/2 weeks of growth to contend. If you get stuck running out of room - you'll have to tie them down.
