hello people my grow room is 2.1 metres square am wondering if anyone can tell me if a 400 watt metal halide is big eneough to veg plant ?

I'm guessing its about 1mx2m (3'x6'). No, you will need about 3x that. You'll need atleast 1000 watts, if not more..
You shouldn't use it in a room bigger than 75cmx75cm by its self
