heya, im very new to indoor growing, and kinda new to the pc but here we go.
my bro john got a loan so we could get a 400 watt mh/hps tent kit from htg supply, we got solid genetics from a few people, pot4pain, rzza, thanks for keepin us from bag seed. So Johns a nam vet PTSD all that stuff and we're tired of payin 30 an eight for mexico's worst from 5 years ago. total schwagg.
we have:
2 feminized Labella Strawberry
2 c-red autoflower
2 Qwerkle
6 3 gallon grow bags
1 400 watt mh/hps bulb, ballast obviously
40x40x70 grow tent
1 8" inline fan
1 6" clip on fan
3 cfl bulbs, 2 in a "heatlamp" clip on

i started the LS in towels in a jar and they both popped in like 3 days, i freaked out cause all i had was my bags and soil, so i just put the seedling into the 3 gallon bag, figured it was ok.
my friend haloween is lending me his 90 watt led panel, and ive gotten cups, so im germing the cred's and waiting on the qwerkle to get here so i can germ them, then giving them a short vegg under led before putting them under the 400.
my tent gets pretty wam cause johns an old man, he keeps the house around 80 as it is, so the temps when the tent is sealed run around 88-89 f. we werent able to get the 6 in inline fan and ducting cause they were out adn budget ran out. hoping next month to buy a 6 in inline, proper ducting. heres pics of what we have so far, gimme comments, gonna post a few times a week and i need the advice and experience of all you veterens out there. this is medicine for a 70 year old man, we need quality bountiful harvests. right now we cant afford to go with another tent and bigger lights, we know we nee another room for vegg, we're working on that. as of right now this is what we have.
o and the 2 plants in there were experiments with lst on 2 transplanted bplants that never got enough lights, i have more pics but they are on the lap top and i will add them later.

i will try makin it look neater i was excited and went crazy up there.
12-17:
the 2 strawberries have both got cotyldon leaves but they are taller than id like, cause of the limited good light i have 3 cfl bulbs on the shortest planthoping it keeps it short.
getting a led panel from halloween today gonna veg in some cups ( in pics above) since it only covers 1 square foot im gonna cram about 12 cups on a milkcrate and hope for the best.
im starting to realise i am doing things in the wrong order.

the LS under the cfl is just over 1 1/2 centimeters and showing its first set of true leaves, whereas the LS under the led panel is growing slower and stretching to the panel, need to get like 12 more cfl sockets and bulbs.
2 of the CRED have cracked and are in cups, think i should be putting the twogg in cups tomorrow.
these seeds in cups, they are under soil anyways so they dont need light until they break soil right?
as of right now we have 2 LS sprouted in 3 gallon grow bags, water as needed, trying to keep the soil moist around as deep as i can get my fingers in without disturbing any possible roots.
2 cred in cups hopefully they dont grow too tall trying to reach the 400 mh, but if they do that will just make it easier to lst i believe.
have some TWOGG and JACKIE O germing still.
gotta figure a way to get a 6 inch inline fan and some ducting.
our light is just an aluminum hood, no wat to hook any type of ventilation to it. have the 8 in still blowing up towards the vent holes in the ceiling, and the 6 in clip on fan is snug into one of the ports sucking hot air out, the 8 in is right by an open vent to suck fresh air in.
can i add root enzymes to the seedlings? or would that fall into the nutes and should wait a week or so, think it was voodoo juice. just got some in a bottle, halloween is NOT good with information.
the older lst experiment got some root blast and i thought screw it gonna cull it probably anyways, so started adding the grow nutes. 5 ml/1 gallon, since i water twice at the least i figured id water with my nute solution in the am, and just clean h2o @ night. or should i just give it straight nute solution each time i water? so many questions.
if i added them right the first pic should be the experiment plant, after an entire summer next to a window it had started to try flowering but was still too young, weak. i threw it into good soil, and put under good light and it has blossomed, is the purple some kind of fungus? it looks raised up from the stem any purple molds i should know about? anyways its revegging, and getting the bloom and root juice. wonder if i can mix them together and just water from the one bottle?

in a rush, put up new pics. have some bad burning on 2 seedlings. the cred looks great! just added these pics umm 12/24/10/ 930. added light nutes to the revegged plant thats the big one. wondering if i should prune the older leaves off from the first vegging? never budded, but started the blooming process before thrown into the tent.

started giving nutes full time. cutting the mix 2.5 ml/gal. watering nutes in the morning and going to continue to water with nutes daily until i see some burn or some sign that the nutes are taking effect. wondering why the one labella is so much larger than all the others. the cred doesnt appear to be auto. no biggie still happy. wondering what that is on the leaf of the labella ( biggest) kinda leathery.

dont have cam today so no pics. havent waterd yet soil is still moist. going to give a light watering before i go to bed as the l;ight stays on untill 4 am, about 6 hours without attention. so im gonna just give like 20 oz of straight water. added my 4 cfl light, not much but what will it hurt . things look good. need to find a nutrients for dummies page.

It def looks like you have been over watering, have you been spraying the plants with water? If so, I would lay off of that. And if you are moving them around a lot, I wouldn't recommend that either. From my limited experience, I've found that the plants will give you signs of what the need, you just have to pick up on them. And to answer one of your last questions, I wouldn't prune any of the leaves. If the leaves need to go, they will die and fall off or you will be able to barely and I mean barely give them a pull and if they are ready to come off, they will with no effort.

they dont need much water at that stage..just pick the pot up after you water get a feel for it..youll know when you pick it up and its dry...and needs water

thanks you 2. yeah i was sprayin the hell out of em. have since stopped. i was being overly loving. was being that guy, limiting my visits now to keep my paws off em so much. i do move em to promote light distribution n they lean if i dont rotate. i untied the x plant yesterday morn. almost scared to see she looks like hope she bush's a little.

Cool man, I think you should see some better looking plants in the weeks to come. It's fine to love em, just don't love em to death lol. Good luck, I will watch your grow and give you any advice I can think of.

waterd today. used a 2-liter filled with the nute mix, added 5oz of microbrew to the labella #1. and the bagseed plant. going to water again tonight around 10 or so, sometime later anyways.
temps are 85! the humidity? is 28% no clue what that one is but probably isnt in the right range. hoping to get ventilation soon.
on such a strict budget makes it hard to get what i need. guess the 6 in inline fan, and some ducting is bmy best bet. just vent it out into the room with a carbon sock. thats the plan, unless i can find something better. http://htgsupply.com/Product-GrowBright-6in-High-Velocity-Inline-Fan.asp

I water mine every 48 hours, and they are 13 days into flower. Before they got big, I would only water 1-2 times a week.

really? that infrequent? i was definitely over watering then now im just doing 2 liter split between the 6 plants and another 20 oz on the seedlings. i put them into cut off 2 liter bottles cause that was all i had. not the best but its working. hard for me not to water them again, but they still felt relatively heavy when i wated them today. with the bags being 3 gallons i'd have to put in around a 1/2 gal in order to see run off, wonder if that means that the water isnt getting down to the bottom of the bag? should have cam back in a few days but they all pretty much look the same so far, the leaves on the labella are starting to look better, less leathery. temp still 81 hum 28%. the enzyme i added was actually http://www.hydrowholesale.com/Fox-Farm/Fox-Farm-Fox-Farm-Bushdoctor-Microbe-Brew-quart.asp
still cant find a feeding chart for it, so im just going to add it as a wtering 1 time every 2 weeks, since im going to be watering at the most twice a week now. only going to add it to the plant that has already gotten it, ill compare the roots when i chop em eventually. growing from seeds could have alot more males than i want, keeping it totally legal, so cnt have more than 12 plants, have 10 total counting seedlings in 2liters. hope i get a good ratio.

Here's what I do, I have my 2 plants 13 days into flower. I have 1 gallon milk jugs that I have cleaned out, I just fill those with water and split the gallon between the 2 every 48 hours. Before they were this big I would water them until I got runoff from the bottom of the pots (the plates underneath would catch the runoff) into the plates and let the plates absorb the rest, about once or twice a week.

Organic-8-Week1 (1).jpg starting this chart today. was what i waterd with this morning. not watering again until tomorrow, mixing my nutes up tonight so they can cook for tomorrow when they get drank. 2.5 ml/gal. into 2 liter bottle then douprd into the bags. today used just the one 2 liter between all 6, dang im pretty ripped right now. i know im repeating myself, but i dont wanna forget anything later. :joint::confused: halloween grw some killer haze and then we got some killer skunk, mystery strain.
everytime i get indoor weed now im hella critical. what could have made this more bountiful? taste better. think i might start keeping track of the strains i smoke as well wish i ocould get ahold of more.
one day ill be growin uber funk like white widow like you up there bro. i want the best for john. trying to get some malawi gold and pure thai seeds from africa and bangkock right now for next go around.
want to explore out of the dutch influence. thats all people grow here it seems.
blah blah blah im ramblin shuttin her down catch you tomorrow

Whatever works for you bro, I just let the plants tell me what they need. I promise you, you will make mistakes, and you learn from them. And every grow you take on will get exponentially better. I am on my second successful overall grow, I have had failed grows in the past that were males but this is my second female plant grow. I'm glad that I got the males at first because I learned so much by doing the wrong things(good thing the were dudes) in the beginning. I found that once you aren't so eager to make them perfect, things start working in your favor and you have time to sit back and read a lil bit about how these girls work. +rep brother

waterd today. 1 2 liter split between 6 plants... seems like not enough to mee, but thena again i did cause water damage. not gonna water again untill tomorrow,
2.5ml/gal grow mix.
girls look great, new growth every time i look at them.
still tying the branches of the exp plant down.
have 3-4 sets of leaves with new shoots @ the top of each plant
temps are still 84ish, hum 27% havent found what proper humidity is yet or a way to manage it.

well awesome... i was checking the labella when i got startled... i fimmed her. she has enough nodes that i think she'll be fine, i would have just liked to have been able to wait a week or so before i topped any...didnt water tonight even though i wanna.thats gonna be so freakin hard for me.
the stems on a few of these are monstrous. i can see a huge difference in the labella and the cred. they look similar until you see them from the side. the cred has so many more leafs. hope i get a good ratio. gonna kill me to cull the males.thinking about forcing flower in as little as 2 weeks from now once the watering gets evened out. that would give me about a 5 week vegg, well 4and 1/2. im not worried about height necessarily, more about bushiness
