Growing Under a 1000w Question?!?

Well we're on our kind of our first grow and we're using a 1000w bulb! Now I was curious on if there is a time difference is during flowering from start to finish depending on the wattage? A friend had noticed that it seems to be taking longer for our plants then it dose for his plants under his 600w. Why is this? Dose a 1000w make the bud thicker then the bud under a 400w or a 600w? Just a curious...Thanks

Ummm... no...

I have never heard that a 1000watt bulb takes longer for flowering... if anything, it should be shorter.... adding C02 can shorten your flowering time...

are you growing the same strain? different strains have different flowering times..

No we're using basically all the same things...even the same strain!

IDK GK knows his shit, But I seem to recal reading that if you use more light they will take longer due to them having more energy to live or some BS, But I would go with not.
Grow conditions can effect this though, such as temps, nutrients, soil and many many other um... ...

Well i guess it will be an interesting theory to test! Guess we'll find out once our clones come out of veg!

well.... it should be tested....


I don't really KNOW anything.. i just have some beliefs...
and these beliefs are always susceptible to being wrong...

I also a agree with Gk. Light intensity only effects yield. Finishing times are determined by a plants genetics.
