growing shrooms question.

if you have a high moisture in the air and temp it can get moldy,since you creating a site to where fungi and other organism flourish.that's the only one i can think of.it's not harm full as long as you do it correctly just like growing weed.weed doesn't destroy houses bad growers do who only care about money and they usally grow bad bud, china and even with good strains mess it up.
 
Ok forget the hows and why's
if you grow them yourself you will KNOW if they are contaminated...
If you buy them, they may have molds etc. which could be very harmfull.

Also there is a health hazzard if you suffer from epilepsy.
 
just take care,and read as many guides as possible and should be fine.as long as you don't have a whole basement of shrooms growing pounds a pawn pounds you should be safe.trust you got and if you won't take the risk don't let other people take the risk.

When you oculate the jar you store it in a dark place at room temp right?
also when fruiting little light. High humidity at round 75oF correct?
 
You will know if the shrooms have been contaminated, as they will have a sour/musty smell coming off of them. If this happens, don't eat them, throw them away and start over. As long as you keep a clean environment around them, you won't have to worry about that happening.
 
ok ty. one last question. how can i make up a good terrarium for 12 .5pint jars to fit in. the 10gal fishtank is a good one but idk if thats going to fit 12
 
one suggestion is to fruit half now half later to allow shrooms to grow you need space between cakes to allow most growth ,
get a another tank, shroomery is also a good source of info a lot of good guides like doc's wild bird seed tek etc

Also when a jar is full colonized how long xan you keep it in the jar?
And do you guys soak your cakes for a week before you dunk n roll?
 
Lol it would be long dead before the weak is over
Mycelium will start to drown somewhere between 12 and 24 hours.

You can keep it in the jar forever but I wouldn't expect to harvest much.
Idealy they should be birthed to your fruiting chamber when done. I guess you can win a few days byu putting them in the fridge to slow down metabolic processes.

Ok. I watched a vid i found on shroomery and the dude in the vid said soak your cakes for a week before fruiting. Thought that was bs
