Growing question

I am relatively new to the whole growing process and just have a quick question. I've been growing my plant for about 3 months now and just recently transplanted it. I have the plant growing in my backyard without any fancy equipment, I water it every 2-3 days. I know my plant is a female because it is sprouting little white hairs, however some of the hairs are beginning to turn brown, everywhere I look it tells me that this means it's time to harvest, however looking at my plant there is nothing there to harvest. I can tell my plant is still young though seeing as how for the most part the leaves are still growing in sets of three and five, not seven. Any help would be appreciated

you should not care about the pistols look into the flowers and check how ripe they are. cloudly to amber is prime

just leave it till september feed it sea kelp plant food. in mid august feed it ORGANIC tomato fertilizer that will give it some buds. ENJOY
