Is it better to let the plants grow longer in veg to achieve optimal quantity and quality? What is the optimal length of time for flowering? Thanks in advance

the "optimum" vegetative phase length is until the plants show their pre-flowers. this can take anywhere from 6-8 weeks depending on the strain.

You can grow from seed to weed with no veg time at all but the plants will be fairly short about 24-36" at the end depending on the strain.
I don't think theres any difference in the quality doing this just in the quantity.
Flowering time is strain dependant and ranges from 6-12 weeks
