Gotta question, hopefully I can get some much apericiated advice. Just got my grow tent all set up. Going to be running 600 watt mh/hps. My grow area is basically 4x4x6. My question, how many plants should I run. Was thinking about doing 2 5gal buckets. But would it be better to do 4-6 3gal buckets. Advice please?

It depends on how you plan on growing and also what strains, are you planning on having much veg time?

4-6 3 gal buckets with a 3-5 week veg time and topping/fimming would be pretty nice.

Are you growing from seed or clone?

The number of weed plants will depend on the strain that you intend to grow. If you intend to grow small strains then you can put more but fewer if you have larger strains. Also, the method of growing is concern. You plant to do SOG? Are you growing indica or sativa?

If you have variety of strains, it can also be a concern cos they will have different flowering and finishing times. Some are fast flowering while others are not.

I grow in a 4x4x6.5 tent 600w. ive done 7 3gal pots my first cycle, current cycle is 6 5gal pots, next cycle is 4 5gal and 1 3gal pot. the 6 5gal pot cycle is a little tight in the tent. I fim, Sc, and lollipop all thru veg. I veg for 2 months and plants are about 5'+ when harvesting

I have GDP seeds, so it's mostly if not all indica. Also, I will be planning on doing an approximate 6 week veg time. I plan on topping and tying down. So, what is everybody's suggestions on how many I do, and in what size container? And if my 6 week veg cycle sounds appropriate.

A little bit more info..
- 600 watt dimmable lumatek ballast
- xl coolable hood
- 4 lamp 2 foot seed starting light
- reverse osmosis water filter
- tga base soil
- complete line up of roots organic nutrients
- carbon filter, not sure what cfm is on fan, but they seem to work well enough so I can't smell it upstairs...ish.
- 4x4x6 grow tent
- that about sums it up...

personally I would run 6x 3gal pots under a nice scrog.

Wouldn't that be pretty crowded though ?
