Growing on a Porch like Growing outside?

I have a veg box and a flowering box in my house now that I grow in. The plants never get as big as they could if I grew outside but I was thinking about doing this. Tell me what you guys think.

I have an enclosed porch on my second floor that the windows stay open all summer long and receive a alot of light from the sun.

If I plant in soil in 5 gallon buckets on that porch and use my Fox Farm nutrient schedule what can I expect? I see outside plants that people have grown on here and they are huge by the end of one summer. Can you achieve that result from just leaving clones on a porch for the season?
 
a plant will grow as big as you want if you let it veg for long enough. the only issue i would put forward about this is security. will anyone see it or smell it? if not, then grow to your hearts content!

yes you will end up with a fairlygood size plant. you may end up haveing to move it off the porch.
 
Unfortunately there is still the limitation of the root mass in the 5 gal bucket. Natural sunlight is better than indoor lighting so you should see an improvement but probably not the monsters that you see that have had unlimited root spread.

Security really isn't an issue. I have a caretakers card so we are legal.

So the only problem would be just the limitation of the 5 gal bucket? What is the top size you could grow in a 5 gallon? as in height for one season?

If I plant the clones in early may they should be done by october no? Will they flower on their own?
 
last year i started in julyand got a really nice yield. you will do just fine no problems bro

then get your self some 6ml clear plastic and inclose your porch. no its concederd indoors. it what i used formygreen house and the plants were great. have pics if you want to see.:bigjoint:

well the porch is small but has about 5 windows all in a row. I just want to be able to exploit the fresh air and mass amount of light that would come into the room.
