growing kinda slow, Cfl's should I add hps?

i have 13 plants. 1X600watt hps and 2x125cfl's 6400k. the hps is not running at the moment as Ive heard it will cause a lot of stretching do to the lack of blue light spectrum. so i was thinking should i just add my 2 clfs that are the blue spectrum to counteract this? like one would do with MH but with cfls instead?
they seem to be growing kinda slow with just the cfls even with 2 added 42watters and 2t8s.

so am i heading in the right direction or just another dumb noobie idea?

You have too many plants for the amount of light you have with just the cfl's.

you need a couple hps with 13 plants. at least 2 600's

most of them are tiny, from seed, 3weeks in, like 7inches tall avg. 4 a quite large and bushy, started at the same time just better genes i guess?

i was thinking capitalize on the space at hand later by adding a 1500 i have one on hand but old school, the ballast looks like an ammo box. and just running the 600 to give them a boost for now. I was going to have some shorties on the ground and tall ones scrogged vertically. along the walls. lights will hang in the middle without hoods, possibly a reflector bouncing it towards the 2 walls. other wall is used as clone cab with separate ventilation and lighting.

room is a make shift tent in the back of a cargo container used for storage.
its one of the half length ones, about 1/3 of it is designated to the grow. fairly large area.. just a guess but like 10x8x10?

P's are tall ones, S's are short ones that be 12-12'd after a few weeks of veg from clone. 0 is the lights it will be closer to the walls in the real thing


what Im really wondering is, will adding the blue light spectrum with the cfls i have prevent or lessen the amount of stretch they'd get from the red spectrum hps???

Son, hot rodders will tell you nothing beats cubic inches. You can overdo the light with plants but not with what you have even if you added 2 1000 watt lights. If you do that use 1 Halogen, 1 HPS. How fast do you want to go? Every time I add a 600-watt I kick myself for not adding it sooner when I see new growth. I don't mess with 400-watters as cost savings is nil so why scrimp there?

i know i need to get a mh, but for now i just want to excel their growth so i can get some bigger clones. biggers better right?
oh...and compression can beat cubic inches when used properly..
