Growing in pure sand

I have invented a magnetic pulse irrigation valve. It produces cyclic water pulses without using any electricity or timers.... only water pressure is needed. Permanent magnets produce the water pulses at the rate you set it at. It saves water over conventional watering methods. The pulses can be set to match the actual rates that the plants can absorb the water so it can easily germinate seeds and grow in any medium, including pure sand. Please see my website SpritzWiz™ Intermittent Sprinkler Irrigation . Multiple micro-sprinklers can be hooked up with it to irrigate up to about 2500 sq. ft. The flow rates for the micro sprinklers can be adjusted down to as low as 1/8 gallon per HOUR. That's even lower than drippers can go... and it covers a much wider area, as much as 2500 sq. ft with uniform moisture distribution.

I have some pictures of my vegetable garden in pure river sand. I used slow dissolving Osmocote® fertilizer pellets to provide all of the mineral nutrients for the plants. I watered at a rate of 1 gallon per hour over the 100 sq. ft. sand box for 10 hours per day. That much water kept the plants healthy and had all the water they needed.

I will try to post photos of my sand vegetable garden with this post if I can figure out how to do it.

As soon as the weather warms up a little I will start sowing new seeds in my sand box and send more pictures as the plants progress along.
