Growing herbs alongside Cannabis

Greetings,
First post :)
My wife isn’t all to please about my hobby. However she accepts the fact that I like to grow 1 plant every quarter( from seed) or so, for personal use.

I was thinking to make her happy and since I have the room in my grow box anyway, to keep a herb patch, or maybe some chillies or the like.
Question is: Does anyone have experience doing this? any suggestions on what to grow, will the 600w light be too much? Are there some suggestions for herbs that will handle the propagation/veg cycle switch? or will I have to start using my propagation chamber to start the seeds? as I do it all in the main chamber now.

Thanks for the help.

Setup,
90cm x 90cm x 150 => with a stacked 90cm x 90cm x 60cm propagation chamber which I use for storage now.
600w HPS lamp, in a cooltube.

Hi happosai. Hope this helps.
Im growing at the moment in a tent with 600w hps in cooltube and with my spare space I'm running 4 different kinds of chillis ,basil,truss tomatoes,have sprouted avocados,currently trying small garlic and just cut a small shoot off a frangipani and am trying to flower that for my misses and that's all under a 600w and every now and then with small shoots,cuttings and seedlings they go under around 220w of 6500k cfls until I feel there strong enough for the hps. I would start seeds off in propagation and always keep moist n checking daily and when they look like they are strong enough and have supportive root structures (if they need to be transplanted to pots do that first) then put em in under hps and keep an eye on em til your happy with how they are going. Good luck :)

Thanks buddy,

That is the shot in the arm that I needed. I think that I will go out to the garden shop and get a few 'pre started' items for the space around my lady. You are probably right about not starting from seed, I guess I will have to invest some moneys to get my propagation box running before I can do so. I don’t think it would be too expensive to have a simple CFL setup, and in all honestly that is the only way I will get any sort of variety, as pre started garden shop plants are usually very seasonal.

I take it that they are happy, under a standard propagation then vegetative light cycle? I would assume since they are all plants they should have similar grow cycles based on nature?
