Growing from Seeds, Updates (Pictures) (Help & Advice)

I started 3 Aurora seeds

2 are under a 27 watt Daytime CFLs 5500k
1 under a 23 watt Soft White CFL 2300k
The seeds under the 2300k started sprouting then 2nd set of leafs the same day I planted it

Is it normal for a lower color temp to have a better effect on seedlings?

Im going to start watering with nutes after the 1st set of leafs yellow and die off.
Ive been watering when the top of the soil gets dry, I water till I see a little run off. Usually once a day for the seedlings.

looks good but whats the temp in there? and that lil fan wont do much, i was using a BIG fan, like 3 ft across

Ive been watering when the soil drys up witch seems to be daily but ill try and see how every other day does.
How often is it recommended to water seedlings?
Ive just read when the soils dry to touch

Putting in a thermometer as I type haha

The ladybugs made there way from my grow closet

Im going to run a different test on all the plants:
Plant 1: LST
Plant 2: Topping
Plant 3: Pruning or Nothing

And im hoping to be getting some Hybrid and Sativa seeds soon

I also want to try a Bent grow

Any other suggestions?

I set up a duct so that hot air can be blown out or clean air can be brought in.
I'm not sure witch way will be more effective?
Should I run air up or down the duct?

Seeds 2 & 3 have been growing really slow! Almost no growth at all.
I noticed since I stopped watering till run off they have basically stunted.
I watered till run off last night and they have started growing again.
I think it was a mix of heat stress and not having enough water.
Seed 3s leafs turned dark green, maybe a sign of not enough water.
What do you think?

When do you guys think I should transplant?
On the 2 week mark? or wait tell I see roots out the bottom of the pot?

Ive noticed in these seedlings that they grow much faster under a color temp of 2700 rather than 5500. Seed 3 has been under a 5500 CFL and is by far the smallest. Seed 2 was the same way tell a few days ago I swapped it under a 2700 and now its growing much faster. Yesterday I put seed 3 under a 2700 for 3 hours and with in that 3 hours it grew more than it did in 3 days. So now Seed 3 is under a 2700. Seed 1 I put under my 68watt 2700 CFL 2 days ago.

They were all with in 1 - 2" and all running 24/0

looks really professional, well planned out. I have a very similar cab made from a tv stand I mainly use it for starting my plants before moving them to my main tent (7'x7'x 5'). Nice work on the exhaust I think I may pilfer that idea from you. I'd recommend an active exhaust, if you have two or 3 of those pc fans you can have two exhaust fans running out of the top rear area an then the intake pointing upward pulling the cool air from below.

Update 5/9/11

I started plant 2 as a side grow

I put 2 x 68watt 2700k CFLs
There are vents on the back that have three small fans blowing out
There is one big fan blowing in

I moved the grow down to the bottom of the box to help keep the temp down
Now I have a 120mm fan that kicks ass in the left corner blowing in and 3 CPU fans blowing the hot air out of the right corner.
With 2 x 68watts and a 23watt my temp stays around 78 - 85
I also transplanted all 3 plants into 3 gallon pots.
I watered with B1 2 days before the transplant and right after the transplant to help with roots growing.

I watered with...
Mixed into a gallon but watered each with a 1/2 gallon.
Soil A 2.5ml
Soil B 2.5ml
Sweet 5ml
B-1 2ml
Neem Oil 2.5ml

I noticed that Seed 1s leafs are a lot smaller than Seed 2 & 3, I mean the width.
Is this normal? There supposed to be all the same strain.
Seed 3 has the biggest of the leafs on the top.

Out of my 12 jillybeans I've noticed 2 very different types of leaves, some wide , some narrow etc. I dont think you have anything to worry about.

okay cause seeds 1 & 3 almost look like different strains.
1 is long and skinny
3 is short and fat
