Ok..Ima go to Home Depot today,and buy one or two of those cheap T-8 lights...sounds good?
I just wanna know,is it likely that those shop lights can be found in any Home Depot,and what section of the store?Also,about how much do they cost?
Ima focus on the vegging/starting part of growing,and then buy all the flowering shit...you know,when the plants get big!!

So,will two of these T-8 cut it for vegging the plants?Or would I need some extra CFL's??And,will the plants grow nice and green,with tight internodes with those lights??!

If you go tubes, stop by your hydro shop and pick up a T5 fixture. T8s and T12s are a thing of the past.

How big are you going to grow the plants before you flower?

How many plants / how large of an area are you covering?

Ok..heres my basic setup...veg some seeds fro a couiple weeks,then flower under a 150W HPS,and after picking my mother plant....running a small SOG grow,with about 10 small clones flowered under the 150W...so I basically want the T-8 just to veg quickly...hell I might not even veg the clones after rooting!!Just straight to flowering!!

And yes I know that T-5's are WAY better,but I dont have the funds to buy one...and I WISH i knew where there was a hydro store around here!!

ok, first off - why are you going to flower before selecting a mother? This would mean you either need to take the time to revert the mom to veg, or take flowering clones that will have to return to veg before flowering. You don't want to flower straight from clone.

I would veg for a month or longer, you can pull the males as they will hopefully presex by then, let your potential mothers acquire decent size, pull clones, let them root, then flower them. The fluoros will be enough to maintain the mothers.

Sounds good...I was planning on cloning the plants BEFORE they show sex..and then kill the male plant and keep all the female clones...So should I veg for more than a month?Remember Im flowering under a 150W,and I cant keep too many big plants under it!!So what you think?

You need to veg the moms for long enough that you can take as many clones as you like, and often enough to maintain a SOG. This is why you should veg them for a month. If they grow faster, you may not need to veg for that long. You just need to figure out how many/how often you will need clones, and decide how many/how large mothers you need from there.

Then you can continually pull clones, let them root, transplant them and flower immediately in your SOG. By flowering them immediately, you will minimize the light you need to cover them. Even in SOG, however, a 150 is probably just enough for maybe 3x3 in 1G or 4x4 in tiny pots. That's stretching it bigtime.

I would grow them as large as you would like them based on the aforementioned figuring, and if they haven't shown sex, you can simply clone for sex. You can do this even earlier if you like. Just take a couple small cuttings from each of your plants and clone them as you would normally, but put them on 12/12. They'll show sex and then you'll know what's what. You can use these early clones to figure out your HPS setup before you take your first large batch of clones so you're ready to roll when that time comes.

Ok...so I just came from Home Depot,and got two cool lookin' light fixtures..theyr just like a desk lamp...and I bought a 30W CFL...only the bulb said it was in between soft white and daytime blue..sounds like a good CFL??
