Growin dope, getting my life together

Starting a thread in earnest. Mostly grow my own chucks and/or stuff that I have done a few generations of selections, planning to grab a few clones as well. Grow is in coco with jacks, I veg outside and then toss in a tent to flower in a regular old 1k hps.

Couple of destroyers that I kept over the winter for a long reveg out in the greenhouse. Love that strain. Trying to decide which is the keeper between the two big ones, first pic is in the lead. Crappy clear cups are Tony snow x (destroyer x ghost train haze), nice hybrid weed.

Welp, that's it for the moment. Will grab some shots of the indoor plants tonight or tomorrow. About a week into flower I have some Tropicana cookie x (destroyer x gth) and some of the destroyer x gth that I selected for a few generations trying to get the "freaky thai" pheno of destroyer to show up regularly. Flowered those small while looking for keepers so not terribly impressive looking at the moment.

Greenhouse is neat but needs cleaned up and a bit of work. Has heat and cooling hookups based on temps, cooling is this swamp cooler type setup. Came with the house and has been really helpful all around.

My main concern would be about bringing insects from outside into my tent, tent conditions are perfect for insects to thrive.
Yeah that's definitely an issue and one I watch for. Been doing it this way for a few years and so far so good. They get a spray of spino before coming indoors and a thorough scoping, but I am sure it will bite me at some point.

That's the way to it, spino would certainly elevate any of my concerns lol...

If it were for anything other than a fun hobby, I would seriously up my ipm, but a big thing for me is that I just really like growing weed so want to keep it fun and minimal. I don't run screens or do serious training for the same reason.

My general sort of plan is to try and bang through a bunch of small plants this spring/early summer to find some keepers and then do runs late summer through December to really resupply myself.

Sounds like a good plan, but best laid plans run amok! Pests animals and people will be the variables you cant control. Best of luck with your grow. Mine have been thieved for last decade or more, never get to harvest. But l am a stickler for letting my plants mature.

So I like to reuse these big old coffee can for planters. Really sturdy and I like the size, holds a gallon or two. 20210531_171122.jpg

First up are the thais. These are attempts to get this weird pheno of destroyer to come up regularly. Trying to get these buds that form as long strings of calyxs where a bud looks like a head of dreadlocks. The one on the right needs a lighter feed, going to dial back food them.

Next group are what I call Tropicana cookie haze. Used the mtn trop cut of Tropicana cookies and hit it with a male (destroyer x ghost train haze). Puts out some heat, and some crap. Looking for a nice creamy orange flavor and smell, low leaf, highs pretty good. In past runs have had wide array of phenos, about 20% real good, 60 ok, 20, crap. Left two look good, far right apparently missed a watering so was droopy, meh it isnt happy.20210531_170624.jpg20210531_170714.jpg20210531_170720.jpg20210531_170725.jpg20210531_170731.jpg

Well, clones have been taken and legs shaved. Plants 3, 5, 6, 8 are the thais with 1,2,4,7 as the trop cookies.

Plants 1/2 look real similar, similar sort of nose developing. Number 4 has tighter spacing and a similar but more pronounced orange cookie smell when rubbing or if pulling a leaf off. Will see how they roll.

3 and 6 look good for the thais, should have trimmed/trained 6 a bit different, guessing it will have some larf, but curious how both those wind up.

Plants starting with 1 going through 8.

No real pics, will probably just do more frequent one offs. Only real development is that #8 is coming along quite a bit faster than expected.

Number 4 from the trop cookies is looking great, excellent smells coming along of cookies and orange. Only real smelly standout at this moment. 20210614_203603.jpg20210614_203705.jpg

Doh...forgot which number, but current favorite of the thais is this one. Its finicky on nutes and looks like it may develop an interesting flower structure. 20210614_204206.jpg20210614_203941.jpg
