Growers Against Miracle Grow

Hello everybody. As many of you already know, any miracle grow soil is bad for growing MJ. Some growers have reported issues such as stunted growth, Slowed or halted growth, and abnormalities such as curly and yellowing in the leaves. Many people that are new to grow may have made the mistake of using Miracle growth for their grows. I was one of these so called "NEWBIES". After i learned that this soil was the root of my problems, I quickly rinse the roots of my mistreated plants and re potted them in FFHF (HAPPY FROG). In the same day i noticed an explosion in growth. This thread is here to inform new growers that, if you want to grow marijuana the right way, you need to do it the correct way. STAY AWAY FROM MIRACLE GROW. I will leave you with a few words of advise..... Soil is the base of your grow, so buy the correct brands.

Happy Growing

I believe that the problem is that the nutes that are already in MG are harder to absorb and metabolize for the MJ plant

MG soil is crap, it has time realesed fert in it. it would be fine w/o thoes pices of fert in it, personaly myself i do how ever like mg that u add 2 water. iv been usein MG 24:8:16 for the past month and a half and my plants (which i used it on) are double the size (highth and width + steam) with me usein 1/4th strengh every other day.compared to the ones i didn use it on. i do recommend this method though just dont increase the supplment of fert, i did run in2 probs recently with yellowing leaves and alotta purple leaves. i later found out that this is because i had increased my solution 2 much (was at 3/4th strength).
im back down to 1/4th again but only once a week. they are doing very well with this method. this is what works for me, its what i will use for a good while probly.

If a grandma down the road can grow her lettuce and tomatoes in the stuff while using MG fertilizer and you can't grow your plant then that seems like a personal issue when your plant has about the same needs. Ive used MG line(Moisture Control Soil, All Purpose Fertilizer) for an entire grow and it worked, for the price I'd even say it worked very well. Now I realize these threads have been going on for years and there's always people on both sides of the fence, but to simply say its bad because you couldn't use it isn't very helpful. MG products run hot(and the soil is very controlled by water due to its time release), and that often messes with new growers but that doesn't mean the product isn't usable. Of course it's in no way the best choice, but its not a bad one either when on a budget.

just my 2 cents

You can go to any hydro store and buy a 12 quart bag of FF soil for 7 DOLLARS. thats almost the same price of th MG. Choosing Mg over FF is plain laziness

Anyone who uses miracle grow with negative effects SIMPLY DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO PROPERLY USE IT.

FINAL

and to anyone thats gonna complain about the taste that also feeds into NOT KNOWING HOW TO USE IT or any ferts for that matter as you have to FLUSHHHHHHHH BEFORE FUCKING HARVEST.

to the OP, how can you even bash a product that you admittedly have NO experience using, or even growing cannabis for that matter?? USER ERROR

it's the heavy metals that MG uses as their nutrient sources that are the problem with it. Not simply the fact that it's not the right nutrient ratios for cannabis, or that many newbs burn the shit out of their first grows with it. it's bad for you, and bad for the environment. just because you can bring a plant to harvest with it if you are carefull doesn't change the fact that it's poison.

The only local store I have sells FFOF 1.5cu feet bags for 19$ and is a 45minute drive, MG on the other hand for 1.5cu feet is 6.50 and is a 10 minute drive. Thats not about the same price. Of course that lower prices does come at a cost and the nutrients are from sources (as mentioned) most people don't like, not to mention their business methods. Thats a completely different story of if it can grow MJ or not though

Why not because you dont know how to properly use it or flush properly before your harvest?

whats your reasoning for not recommending it you must have used it before, right?

OP, take note to this statement.

Other then that, its not poison IF YOU FLUSH YOUR CROP BEFORE YOUR HARVEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i use MG 24-8-16 for veg and don't use it during flower... i don't even flush my plants half the time and there is no diffrence in taste or harshness..
