Hey Guys, wanted to post a heads-up regarding white fly & spider mite control. I bought a bottle of Bayer Advanced "Natria", insect, disease, & mite control. One application was enough to burn the shit out of my girls! I called their hotline. Was told that NO Bayer product is to be used on cannabis! And tough luck! So be warned, and remember the name,
BAYER = cannabis UNFRIENDLY...........BB:spew:

I've tried several Bayer products on Marijuana and never burned anything. I've used Imidicloprid, Tau-Fluvalinate & Tebuconazole with no problems at all, including use on rooted clones... I'm sure they told you dont use anything Bayer on Marijuana because that is against "Federal" law...

Fact is, Imidacloprid is the only thing that can effectively kill Aphids and their eggs without having to break down your grow. And i'm using Tau-Fluvalinate now to control a spider mite infestation.

No using Bayer products past week 4 of flowering.. They are almost all 30 day systemic insecticides and you want it out of the plant's system by chop/flush time...

Use the search LUKE!!!
lol

The toxicity of imidaloprid to the migratory grasshopper, Melanoplus sanguinipes (F.), was measured in bioassays, greenhouse trials, and field trials. An LD50 of 53 and 86 ppm for the oral/topical applications of imidacloprid confirmed a low toxicity for this chemical when compared with carbofuran as a standard. However, 100% debilitation was observed at concentrations of ≥1 ppm. Grasshoppers exhibited leg flexing, abdominal quivering, and tremors before becoming motionless and appearing dead. Knockdown was temporary with a high percentage of recovery within 1 h.

This shit was recomended by Uncle ben a NINJA grower. He called it the silver bullet aginst bugs....

Which Bayer products did you use on your plant's that didnt work? How much did you use and how did you apply it?

I've used the products i listed above after trying organic and other methods, and only Bayer's stuff killed the pests for good and it didnt give my plant's AIDS it made them stronger, LOL.

Bayer Fruit & Vegetable (Imidacloprid) and Bayer Disease & Mite Control. (Imidacloprid & Tau-Fluvalinate) Those 2 products rule the pest battle in my world. I also use a No Pest Strip in a garden that has "lost control" or over run with pests. works like a charm...Then they go on a regimen of spray's every month or less..

All new clones that are brought home or rooted get dunked in each mixture a week apart, just the leaves/stem.. re-apply every 3-4 weeks until flower...

I also use Bayer products (FORBID) and have never burnt a plant.

Sounds more like you mis applied it, or didn't follow the directions.

LOL, I'll be dipped if my thread Warning about a Bayer product almost killing my 2010 grow; suddenly turns into a Bayer sales pitch site! I did show some pretty gruesome pictures, and they're outdoors, so "I didn't leave the lights on". It was r.t.u. spray, followed instructs to the effen letter............So I'm not sure where I screwed up, but I'm thinkin' it was when I forked over the $12.95+ at the OSH.
But hey....you guys go on with your Grange meeting.........& please turn off the lights when the last guy leaves, I'm outta here..................BB

They were 35 days from seed, in 10 gallon tubs, out doors on my patio, sprayed at dusk, the pictures show the next morning. The label gives no warnings regarding month old plants.

Then, I'm at a loss. Dusk is when I usually spray also and it was RTU, so you didn't mix it wrong.

So, it was either the plants were too young/tender for this stuff, or it is indeed, a BS product.

If it was the young/tender thing, you're right, it should have been noted on the bottle.

Imidacloprid is basically the same thing as the old home-remedy of mixing up some tobacco juice to spray on plants - it's nicotine derived. Same stuff you find in some once-a-month topical flea and tick products for your dog (like Advantage)... and it's less toxic to the liver than organic citrus-based insecticides. That sucks that the product burned your plant - there aren't too many long-lasting insecticides you can safely use around the home.

why did you not buy 100 ladybugs and release them in to your grow room, they would eat the whitefly and spiders non stop like flies round a shit, they are cheap to buy, you can then refridgerate them afterwards to put them in to a suspended animation for another day or just leave them in the grow room permanently, you can also buy a special smoke bomb that you light in the grow room and the smoke kills the pests without harming your plants but they are very expensive, the cheaper smoke bomb you can buy to smoke the insects will kill the plants too. but to buy this poison and spray it on to something you are gonna smoke you will probably put yourself in to an early grave with a brain cancer or something that will puzzle the doctors down at the hospital when you get there in later life. they will call it the burger boss disease, (you know what i mean) dont put chemicals on your plants. do that only if the ass hole down the road is buying them from you!!!!
