No, Xenon only puts about about half of the light that a CFL does. And less than a 1/4 of an HID.

they will not grow. get grow lights, not car lights. stay away from autozone and find a hydrozone.

why though? why waste the energy and the time? senseless.
I actually believe xenon might have some beneficial properties as a supplemental light... But not as the only light for the grow... But it will be interesting to see what you get.
