You could try, but it would be tough. It'll stretch out badly to start with. Plus you only get 21-14 hrs a day light in the winter, so it owuld be like 12/12 from seed, almost. Lastly - hope the sill is wide enough, when she starts to bush out, to remain there.i have a question can you grow weed indoors during winter on the window sill

Your plant will grow very slowly, will stretch out, and won't produce much, if at all. Also getting it to flower by a window would be damn near impossible, you'd have to put it in your closet for 12 hours a day or something. I would be paranoid about keeping my plant by a window, are you sure that's safe?

i have a couple of plants on the window . there flowering you need to be good to get em growing . mine i planted 2 months ago and there doing ok . wont be much smoke on them if you think your going to sell it! only a personal thing ... it works but its hard . and watch were you live and if people can see them clearly thats not good . i live 2 doors away from a police station and there on the window thats on the main road !!! its abit stupid but i want weeed!!!!!
it works i will get some pics of my plants up so you can see whats possible. dont plant them yet tho wiat till after winter . its just the smart thing to do, and they take ages to get going on a windowsill anyway so u NEED patience!!!!!

i have grown on a window sill in a 1 liter bottle......
the best i have ever done was, a 15 inch plant, that, flower instantly, and didnt give more then a half a gram of bud. my leaves got burned from the cold glass, and i ran the risk of being caught. so.....NO....it wont work. i tried it in south florida, so, its safe to assume, if it would work anywhere in the world, it would be florida, and still, it was a failure.....lol....
why not just use some Compact Florescents????? i have a 4 footer and 2 2footers, in my closet, with cfl bulbs. they cost nothing, and run cool. youll get bud atleast.
LED Flood type lamps, are the best route for vegging. their cheaper and cooler to run. but, because i already had the CFL'S, thats what im doing, next time ill use LEDs. good luck.
