Patience friend, it'll be fine. That baby will be lucious next week and those yellow leaves will be gone. Did you only have the one seed? Perhaps start germinating a few more, it'd be a shame to waste all that electricity on a male. You have about a 40-45% chance of it being a lady. Best of luck to you, this site will be a valuable resource.
What type of lamp do you have in that fixture? If its an incandescent, ditch it and put in a CFL. May be part of your prob if you have the wrong bulb in there.
