i have an 8x12x6.5 how many lights would i need to have to run that room if the lights were on a track

That's a big room. I'd do 4 3' x 6' SOG trays with a 2' walkway up the middle. 2 x 600w hps per tray and not bother with a track, or if you want to have taller plants, 1 x 1000w on a mover for each tray.

I'd say 3x 600W lights on movers... Covering a 3x5 area each.

Total coverage, 9x5... If you count the edges you could spread them out further to cover the whole room...


Or just 4x 1000W sitting stationary each covering. 4x4... Making a 8x8.

i have a 1k hps 1 400 mh and a 4 bulb t5 one 3x3 flood table and one 2x2 flood table will that do the trick for a scrog on should i do dirt

Personally, I'd max out the 4x4 area with the 1000... You could do the flood table and run some soil pots on the sides...

Or get a 600W or another 1000W HPS for bloom...

The other lights;

-Keep the 400MH for veg...

-And supplement the t5 for veg and clones.


This will make the cycle much faster...
