I posted late last night about a 2 room grow tent build I'm going to do. I was leaning toward wood, however based on cost I think I'm going to go with 3/4" PVC. I have one possible issue hopefully everyone can help me with concerning the weight of my reflectors.
One is a 400W HPS Cheap Aluminum Batwing - no worries there - I'll just run a couple more pieces of PVC and zip tie them together for the added weight (this maybe overkill due to the light weight).
The other is a Sun System Cool Sun Reflector with the glass and weighs just over 24lbs. The last time I tried to use PVC to hang this reflector the PVC bent (I was using 1 piece of 2").
Would running five 10' long pieces 3/4" PVC Along the top (not actually connected to the frame) and zip tied to the 3/4" pieces of the frame have enough tensile strength to hold up the 24lbs?
I don't know my way around construction nor engineering but I have a couple green thumbs.
