Never heard of them. Seems like a ton of off-brand ferts are popping up, probably because they sell for 10x what they cost to make.

I'm using Grow More Sea Grow. I like it. It's price point is around that of Miracle Gro. But, it's organic'ish. I'm getting good results at a much lower price.

My schedule is:

Seedling week 1: 1/4 tsp / gal All Purpose 16-16-16 (AP)
Seedling week 2: 1/2 tsp / gal AP

Veg: 1 tsp/gal AP

Transition: 1/2 tsp/gal AP + 1/2 tsp/gal Flower & Bloom 4-26-26 (FB)

Flower: 1 tsp/gal FB + 1/4 tsp/gal Hawaiian Bud & Bloom 5-50-17 (HBB)

I supplement with: Liquid Karma, Alaska Kelp, CalMag+, Silica Blast and GH Koolbloom (liquid and dry) in flower. Also calcium phosphate (dissolved egg shells in vinegar) during transition. I can go into greater detail about these supplements if needed.

The only downside I've noticed is that Grow More Sea Grow seems to acidify the soil. (I'm actually Pro-Mix HP & perlite, 4:1 parts). Late into veg the soil goes acidic. I have to monitor runoff pH. I tend to feed 6.5. When I see runoff down in 5.8'ish I increase the feed pH to 7.2 which pulls the soil back toward 6.5. (I use a Control Wizard Accurate 8 soil meter ($50) to verify that I'm keeping it around 6.0-6.4.).

I think I liked GH Flora Series (3-part) better because it's pH buffered. I didn't have to mess with runoff and soil meter. But, this is *much* less expensive. I bought 5lb tubs of AP and FB, and a 1lb can of HBB. I think it was about $40 and will last about 50-100 plants.

Plantsthatproduce.com has the widest selection of Grow More products. But, sprinklerwarehouse.com has lower prices on those 3 items.

They also make a great 3 part that is cheaper than the Flora series and Jungle Juice, and it has higher amounts of micro nutrients.

My schedule is:
I wanted to update my post above in case anyone finds it by search engines.

1. I found this Sea Grow feeding schedule for cannabis last night:
http://www.plantsthatproduce.com/guide-nutrients-for-cannabis.html

2. I mentioned in my above post I suffered acidic soil. Turns out I was over-feeding at 1 tsp/gal. I tried feed-water-feed and also constant 5/8 tsp/gal and soil ph has improved, plants show no signs of deficiency yet. Runoff ppm is 900 in flower (was 1200-1300).

I thought as long as I don't get nute burnt leaves I wasn't overfeeding. That's how it worked with purely synthetic nutes. Evidently, organic nutrients build up salts before they burn leaves.

It turns out that the feed schedule I found last night confirms my own hard-fought lesson. :) It's in the 3/8 - 5/8 tsp/gal range (1/8 tsp/gal range for Hawaiian Bloom instead of 1/4 tsp I was doing.).

The only thing I'm curious about is whether to feed higher strength every other watering (plain water ever other watering), or this weaker strength every watering. Someday I'll try it both ways.

Hey az,
I'd recommend going with a weaker dosage with every watering. GrowMore Flower and Bloom label lists the recommended dosages for both periodic and constant feeding regimes. Somewhere between 1/2 tsp and 1 tsp would be ideal. I find that light feeding with every watering is much easier for the plants to utilize than the periodic heavier feedings. In a "drain to waste" feeding schedule allow for 5-25% runoff to avoid the buildup of chemical salts. Also water with pure ph'd water once a week.

Hey az, I'd recommend going with a weaker dosage with every watering.
Thanks, I've been using 1/2 tsp and things are much better. I can't believe how much time I spent fighting what I thought was an acidic soil. But, I learned a lot. I never thought it was overfeeding because when I used GH I got immediate burnt leaf tips when I fed too strong. Since I wasn't seeing that, I assumed I was feeding an appropriate amount. I didn't realize other (less synthetic?) cause different problems. Makes me suspicious of assertions all nutrient NPK is the same.

I'm also taking this feeling of a "reset" to back away from high PK in flower. I'm mixing equal parts of Sea Grow Flower and All Purpose Veg to get NPK 10-21-21 (1-2.1-2.1 ratio). That's between common recommendations of 1-3-2 and a PK ratio of 1-2 (sometimes recommended because it's what Advanced Nutrients does.).

I'm going to try this before experimenting with higher PK (booster) strengths. Next test will be to try Sea Grow Flower & Bloom (1-6.5-6.5 ratio) in late flower. Then earlier in flower. I can also experiment with Hawaiian Bud and Bloom (1-10-3.4 ratio) to bump up the PK ratio toward 3-2.

So many people say boosters aren't necessary. This seems like a good time to start fresh and see the difference myself. I don't think I would have considered this if I hadn't struggled with acidic soil (overfeeding) so long. Got me to thinking how just because it says "Flower Bloom" on the label doesn't mean it's the best ratio for flower. When I saw the 50/50 mix landed between two commonly advocated ratios, it was another lightbulb turning on in my head (along with the overfeeding lightbulb). :)

I'm finishing up an autoflower and four photosensitives that struggled with acidic soil (and my remedies) using 1-2.1-2.1. I'll probably use a booster on them at the end. But, I have an autoflower seedling that I've started at 1-2.1-2.1. I'm looking forward to seeing how this one turns out.

Also water with pure ph'd water once a week.
What is the purpose of water-only feeding. Someone (mick941?) said it helps the beneficial microbes in the soil rebound, consume residual nutes that could become detrimental salt buildup? But, I don't understand feeding slightly less nutes all the time wouldn't be the same thing?

For example, I water every 2 days. Once a week water only will be feed-feed-water. So, instead of feeding 1 tsp per week in that on-on-off fashion, why not feed 1/3 tsp every feeding? It's the same amount of nutrients each week.

If the nutes are detrimental to beneficial bacteria, there'd be a third less harm to the soil all the time.

I'm just trying to understand why water-only is preferable. However, sometime I'd like to try a teaspoon once a week, or a tablespoon twice a month. I know some people who'd like to grow weed with the ease of a houseplant. I'm curious how Grow More Sea Grow would work with infrequent feedings. Seems overfeeding doesn't hurt the plant. Stuff sits in the soil waiting to be used. I'm going to try it sometime soon.

I use their SeaWeed Extract and LOVE IT in Coco. It really helped with aroma and flavor combined with Humic Acids. It's a great price on amazon and I like the results.

Grow More manufactures Humic Acid in two strengths: 12% for soil applications and 8% for true hydroponics. The latter is designed for better flow through Coir, Hydroton, NFT, and DWC in general; and to avoid possible clogging in microtubing.
