Grow Log - Thread vs Journal

What's the advantage of a journal over a thread for a grow log?

As far as I can tell, the only people who read journals are the authors.

too true a lot of people have to start threads to gett attention on their journals but if you are doing certain strains i believe people seek them out who want to run the same strains...

I read journals all the time - especially if it is something I may be thinking about trying or a new strain I want to try.

Thanks for your answers.

I have a grow log thread. Somebody told me I should 'journal the thread' what does this mean?

I think the biggest advantage is followers can read the authors posts and look at his pictures without the interference of other peoples post getting in the way. a disadvantage would be not many people look at journal log entries because we are all used to the old way of doing journals in a thread.

I'm thinking what he meant was instead of doing a thread for a journal, do your journal in the journal option format instead. you kinda answered your question in your first post.

I think he is talking about the bottom in the bottom left hand side of the post.... next to the reputation button....underneath your avatar

I just clicked on it and it took me to the journal entry format, so pretty much the same deal. transferring your posts on a thread over to your journal log entries.
