So here’s my dilemma. I grow weed for a living in a southern state. We grow in a greenhouse which is kind of irrelevant but I bring it up to point out I’m not new to the grow game. However, I am new to doing a full cycle of plants inside. Usually I start inside then move outside. So I want to get a grow tent either 32x32in or a 4x2ft and grow some autos in soil for a quick turn around and to try a variety of strains faster than I could a photo period plant. The light I want to use is a 4000w LED, 410w from the wall. How many plants could I put in the tent so it isn’t too crowded and so I could show each one the love they need? Is my light too powerful for that small a tent? Insight on this and other problems/thoughts on this set up is greatly appreciated

4kW for a tent that size is indeed well past overkill, especially if you're doing autos which don't need to go to 12/12...though even for photos. I also don't know that autos are really as 'quick turnaround' as some of the seed dealers like to say. In a 4x2 tent that's 500w per square foot...a good factor of 10 more than you need. Also a small tent with that powerful a light will get really hot, even with good ventilation.

*Note, I thought you meant a real 4000w light. 400w is reasonable. Probably best not to quote marketing numbers.

I’m sure it’s a 400 watt blurple with a toggle switch for veg to bloom.
Like one snd a half plants is my best guess
Get a bigger tent.. You will never know when you need the extra space.

Also, if the idea is to test strains for later photo grows of similar strains, that notion may be flawed because photo/autos with the same names really aren't the same strains and the differences may be stark.
